Or they want him to learn C within their systems before they put him on Wing. Especially with the short amount of time before playoffs. Playing Wing never seemed to be an issue with him on the Flames.

I doubt cost he would cost as much as Guentzal. Know he can play with the players here. Cap hit is similar to Lindholm. Might not be a rental either. Could sign him for half decent price if they don't run out of time.

Every year there is a good to great young player taken from pick 20 into the second round, if you’re a building team you just collect as many picks as you can and hope your scouting staff hits on one of them.
