A cruel twist of irony would be if everyone used it on pat.

Or if there was a height restriction on using it, and Pat did not meet the criteria.

we need pat. pat drives conversation.

and he doesn't think he has to spit out something that he knows people will disagree with to start a conversation which is a weird loser move that you see around here a lot.

I agree.

Not spitting something out that will cause disagreements is a weird loser move.

They don't have much draft capital (ie. picks) left to trade with, they're reduced to go picking from our recycle bin.

WASH paid a 3rd and a 7th to acquire Edmundson last year.
so how Leafs paid more (a 3rd and a 5th) to do the same thing a year later.
has Edmundson got better with time?

That's why you don't go shopping at the trade deadline ... they're not happy in the Leafs thread.

You can't expect miracles when you have nothing left to trade.

They needed a right handed D ... they got a left handed one with a long history of injuries and slow as molasses in January.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures I guess.

They should have traded 1 of Marner or Nylander before the start of the season, created real depth on defence, and invested in a goalie.

I am not sure who is being more hardheaded - Leafs and their top 4 or the NHL and insisting Arizona will work (or just as bad, Atlanta 3.0 is a good idea).

Jacob Perreault is a very different prospect from Jan Mysák. Much more unilateral. Trading in a well-rounded player for a pure offensive forward is a bet on upside.

I like this. Habs have a logjam of potential bottom-six NHLers, and not enough upside in the system.

Can they get his brother now? Scabeh would be happy with Gabe also on the Habs

yeah, I don't expect any of them to ever reach the NHL. Laval needed more offense I guess. not sure lol
