Do the leafs have the necessary skill? Yes. Absolutely.
Will they use it? Maybe…… - Dozzer
I hope that Edmundson is a vocal guy. He's won a cup, he went to the finals with Montreal, he knows what it takes in the playoffs. We need someone internally to light a fire under these guys, cuz the coaching staff seems incapable any time there is some adversity. |

Put on your Zezel colored glasses, we'll be fine. Let Brad cook tomorrow, get Joel in and acclimated, get everyone over the flu, and we roll. Heck, we're 8-3 with 2 losses to Boston and 1 to Vegas. No shame in that. - Whipper

Yeah, reading this has been depressing, but as someone who just had the flu Sunday evening, I can tell you it has affected me ALL week. The sky is NOT falling, the Leafs 100% can beat Boston in the playoffs, the only wildcard is their tendie tandem is better than ours. If they underperformed, we got this. - Whipper
Sums up why leafs go nowhere. Delusional. |

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if *anyone* in this management group has ever had the stones to look Shanahan in the eye and say "this core of players is too passive".
Hopefully it's ownership that says it after another episode of the usual song and dance this spring.
Probably a pipe dream - too many fans like the "nice things" down at Scotiabank and the $ keeps rolling in. |

I think he accomplished what he wanted on the trade. got 3 of Car top 10 prospects..which the Pens need at this point.

I don't know anything about the prospects but the Athletic guys say they're all "not great" ..."decent". So it looks like Bunting, a 2nd rounder and some low ceiling prospects.
I think he's in tough ...has to try to keep them competitive rather than blowing it up and getting picks. |

Dubas loves quantity over quality
But still not a bad trade i guess, a couple former 2nd round picks
However, the pens lose their LTIR and are now over the cap apparently |

Feels like Rental prices are low. Not getting big hauls for them anymore.
Pens had one of the worst prospect pools, so it helps.

He could be a decent 3C ...I think. Need to shake up the Domi/88 line ...
And can he PK?
How does our PK coach still have a job? |

I dunno fellas. At that stop point the puck was bouncing, Mitch is moving forward at a good pace so that window of opportunity was a milli second. I wasn’t surprised he didn’t get the shot off. JMO. |

I think the best prospect is probably not in Carolina's top-5 - I think he should have gotten at least one of those guys. But he did get volume.

I didn't think too much about it - but (a) Gregor isn't upping his trade value with one good game (which he didn't have), and (b) we're better with Holmberg in the lineup.
Keefe had said during the morning skate that there were a number of players who were a game time decision depending on the severity of their flu. I figured Holmberg was just too ill to play.

I just want them to move on from Gregor.
I see really no value in him. Dude can skate but that's it.
I do concur, the lineup is better with Holmberg in it. |
