The NHL is so pathetically laughable in so many ways, officiating in general seems to be close to if not the top of that list.

I’m not blaming the refs - McCabe should have got 2 penalties and the Leafs perhaps would have given up a goal.

That being said 5 on 3 vs 5 on 4 is a big difference and it shows how incompetent the NHL officiating is.

Babs was good until he wasn’t.

Same for Freddy except he was awesome initially for 2/3 years and then not so awesome for 2.

Ballard for sure was a big contributor to the Leafs not being anywhere near a cup contender during his reign that crazy old bastard.

Bettman is just the puppet and face of the wants and desires of owners / board of directors. He has very little power in reality.
