It's a great skill to have. (frank)ing Rielly and McCabe put their sticks up high and take obvious penalites. Leafs need lessons on high to cause pain without taking penalties. Here's hoping Edmunston can teach some of those skills.

Day after less emotional thoughts (but still I (frank)ing hate the Bruins).

Winsix, Moneky Puck & a few others (Whippper maybe) area all saying similar things and I agree - flu going through the room def. has an impact, season series sweep means very little with one SO win by Boston and one OT win (and if I recall in a couple past seasons at least the Leafs dominated the regular season series vs Boston and then lost to them in the playoffs), Woll with 2 goals he should stop, Marner not shooting on an open net to tie the game up, 5 on 3 vs 4 on 4 in the 1st period, no 6 min pp for the Leafs when they should have got one etc. etc. etc.

Excuses? Sure you can say that - they are also all facts.

To me the Leafs are 100 % capable of beating the Bruins - will they ? We shall see I guess.

Debrusk showed me enough that he should be their own playoff rental. I’d like to see Donnie bring in someone like Dumba and Patches. Perhaps a depth centerman that could move up and down the lineup.

Not sure on Ullmark. If the return is massive, I’d consider it obviously.

I find it interesting that from his perspective it wasn't as dominate a game by Boston as some Leaf fans think and ultimately he chalks it up to 2 m'eh goals given up by Woll.

For me that validates some of the the thoughts of others from our blog and his comment specifically about Woll just doubles down on that to me. Woll was out from the 1st week in Dec unti the end of Feb and has had what 2 or 3 starts since coming back? He's also got less than 30 NHL starts - he needs time to shake off the rust plus Sammy is the hotter goalie right now anyway.

Despite the annoying fact the Leafs lost to Boston (again) I'm A LOT happier than I have been after losses to Boston in the past based on the push back they showed from Bert, Domi, McCabe etc. Just need more of it top to bottom of the line up.

Side note - Is Boston to Toronto is what Pittsburgh was to Washington (until they weren't) and if so is this the year Toronto finally can get over that hump?
