Have you seen him play? He’s played 57 games. That’s not a lot of out.

I can’t watch the tsn version anymore. Button and a couple of others ruined it for me.
- shack67

I want an all star panel made up of the best of the 2.

Bobby Mac - Legend / OG
Bieska - players perspective and insight
Elliot - scoop
Duthie (purely for laughs)
Biz - input / takes and laughs

Guest appearances by Bruce Bodreau

Johnson, Button, Amber, Kyperos etc can work the phones.

Lagesson was the Marlie. He wouldn’t have been back without a boatload of injuries.

And I’m with you on this, I like what Tre did this year. Big moves would have been a mistake.

Ya i added the edit.
I was thinking "part of a trade". Forgot about the waiver

I heard that from TSN, so thats ok if its wrong. Either way, he is not worth a 4th round pick. This reeks of poor asset management.

4th rounders are nothing more than 89% AHL and 11% NHL if signed. You guys consider those picks to be far more valuable than they are.

Missed the edit.

But yeah, I was just referencing what’s gone vs what’s here. I like what’s here better.

I completely agree. For what Tre had to work with, he addressed our biggest weaknesses effectively.
- Whipper

I will respectfully disagree. IMO The leafs needed a RHD dman who could also chip in offensively. They didnt get either of those things.

Sportsnet guys liked it.

Hard to say if it’s good or bad until he plays and the offseason as he’s an RFA end of the year.

I hope he can bring some enthusiasm and scoring to the bottom 6 (wherever he lands).

People writing him off before he has even packed a bag to come to Toronto are insane, let the guy play and see what Tre got or didn’t get.

It’s a 4th round pick FFS and he’s a 24 year old who has played all year at the NHL level and scored 10 goals on the 4th line in (frank)ing Minny.

Gregor has 5 goals this year and is 25.

Maybe he’s being viewed by Tre as a Gregor upgrade and Gregor is going down to the Marlies or press box.

Wayne Simmonds and Mike Johnson seemed to think it was a bad move.

Sure, that still doesnt mean you trade them for bad players. It was overpayment for what Dewar is. which is a small 4th line forward.

This seems pretty above average for a 4th line player on a poor team.

On HB? Hard to agree since complaining is roughly 527,040 mins a year (this year anyways)

So honestly - what do you think a 4th round pick should fetch and what do you think you're apt to draft with it - because that's the bottom line. Using a 4th and nothing more to acquire an NHL player with at least 3 RFA years is not bad.

I agree he's undersized, but there are lots of undersized guys who know how to play the game and be effective. This guy has some very solid defensive numbers with decent offensive numbers. The things that standout as poor are his DZ exits with possession and his passing. He gets a lot of shots, he separates puck carrier from puck effectively and he is reliable with the puck in his own zone - as long as he doesn't try and skate it through the opposition. He even makes smart outlet passes and generates a fair number of shots on net for his role.

You should study before posting lol

He’s a third liner, and he’s still 5’10” and 185lbs which isn’t exactly tiny.

Well since everyone knows (frank) all about the guy but are convinced that a 4th round pick is somehow more valuable, these lines are more valuable than the female doging that's going on.

Guess nobody wanted to give it up for that super valuable 4th round pick eh?
