I dont know how they can fit anyone of significance...if they keep the 4 10mil forwards
they have like $3 to fill in 10 spots

- senstroll

Brodie out, tanev in.
With willie signed, they are stuck.

Agreed.
Maybe grab tanev or Z in the off season.

- Fakepartofme

Thought someone mentioned Tanev wants to play in the U.S.

- Fakepartofme

I think we all know how that's gonna go. But don't fret - the core of "nice things" will get ran back once again!

Hard to imagine they just let Timmins rot on LTIR for the season. The guy deserves a chance somewhere, even if its for free.

Which he may be for this year and next.
Then go after it for 25/26.

Maybe? I guess I feel this way, and I have tried to say this before but maybe not as directly - if I am thinking of retooling or rebuilding portions of my team, then cap is king - cap will present an opportunity to me that I may not have previously had. That acquisition can get me either a player with term or a player that I want to negotiate with.

For instance acquiring a player that the trading team doesn't want to retain on. The Leafs probably could have gotten Tanev and/or Zadorov if they didn't want any retention. The opportunities always seem to present themselves. Who knows? Maybe he is just trying to ride the wave until JT is cheaper or gone and Brodie is gone and so on and they reallocate that way.

I'm not hanging this lose on Woll. The team took too many undisciplined penalties. The Leafs are just evening out right now, after being hot for 10 games and dealing with the flu and nagging injuries. Once they get done with the Habs on Saturday, they'll get some down time to heal up. Many forget that they had a lot of games to make up, after going to Sweden at the start of the year. The Senators never recovered from that trip. Boston realized last night that they weren't tougher than the Leafs and they needed to bring in some muscle in Morroon.

My thoughts on this trade deadline is this: If they can find a way to get Parynko for a Minten and Lilijgren, then they should do so. He would slot in on the top pairing with Rielly and make it more formidable. He could also spell Rielly on the powerplay so as not to run his minutes up too high. The Leafs also need to move Robertson and start recouping some draft picks. If Parynko does become a Leaf, they should find a suitor for Brodie and streamline their defense, top to bottom. There is nothing wrong with the goaltending.

Once the season ends, the Leafs need to find a partner to trade Nylander. I'm not sure when his no-movement clause kicks in, but there needs to be a way to take this boat anchor of a contract off the books. Sure, he's got great offensive talent, but his decision making does not warrant what he's making salary-wise. With Marner coming up for a new deal, it's imperative that they rebalance this team's salary structure. Nylander needs to be moved, before July 1st.

But the fun part is the Leafs had to kill off a 5 on 3 while Leafs get only a double minor PP...And Bert was bleeding

But yeah 5K fine each is fair

The breakaway goal and the floater from the point need to be stopped. Bad goals.

I mentioned that last night. Couldn’t understand that call when it happened. Effed up for sure. Refs should get fined for blatant poopty calls.

You’re not going to like this but his full NMC kicked in when he signed the extension. It’s one of the things that can be changed when it comes to signing an extension. So yup, Nylander already has a full blown NMC.

Only reason he wasn't suspended is because then Coyle would've had to get suspended, too.
