Old, slow, fat and recovering from back surgery? He's bound to be effective!

When has Maroon ever been a 3rd line player?

Other than water skiing Mcdavid?

I don't care what he does in his private life!

. . . er, I mean, I don't think he'll be that impactful. He wasn't much of a factor in our series against Tampa last year, and now he's older and recovering from surgery.

M’eh fatty patty isn’t a concern to me, he yaps a lot but is a terrible fighter.

He was a non-factor when the Leafs beat Tampa last year and he’s the consolation prize for Boston.

His days of making a difference are well behind him IMO.

Having watched both Edmondson and Maroon face the Leafs in playoffs I know which id rather have and its not close.

I am happy to face Maroon honestly.

Yeah but what if the surgery made him better, like that Atros pitcher played by Dennis Quaid?

On the bruins and against the leafs? He'll find his youth and effectiveness. Its the leafy way

Agree. He's a great guy, locker room presence, poop-provoker, but he's a total pylon. A minimum of 3 meters behind every play. He's decent along the wall in board battles, so there's that. But he can't do anything with the puck once he gets it. Stone hands that are just good for pummeling guys, and not even that so much any more. I'd take him, but I wouldn't put any expectations on him at all. Reaves is a better player and skater (and fighter), for reference.

i feel the same about edmunson, it was 2021 when he was actually decent'ish
but thats behind him as well.

so if he is cheaper for similar stuff, and easier to hide a forward if you need to

Na - he’s done.

That being said I’d love to watch Reevo pound his face in. lol

Leafs have more guys who can pull lawnmowers well now than they have in years, even Eddy can chuck the nucks.

This move to me is a big m’eh burger.

Need to really find a way to add a solid 3rd line center here.

Leafs need D depth more than F depth IMO.

Plus Reevo > Fatty Patty
