Giordano is on the IR and is counting towards the cap. LTIR him.
Trade Gregor in any trade. Boom 2M. - Santo_44
Also, I think Lagesson going to the Marlies or if he gets claimed creates good space.
Can also trade Jones or Timmins. |

100% expecting a move of some sort.
For sure. Even if it’s a depth option.
They have the space and still have to do something with Timmins. Pretty easy to see. - Santo_44
You’ll be the first one to complain at 3:01pm I’m guessing lol |

Brad's got a bag of pucks, some unsold Allstar game merch, and a couple of game used Pfaneuf and Kessel sticks from the Scotiabank pro shop to use as trade chips. Should be good. |

Maybe something to gain a couple picks but I’m not expecting anything that will effect the lineup. |

Button is an idiot - Fakepartofme
Always thought it’s funny that the
“analysts” that were GMs or head scouts for teams are working for TSN and SportsNet for a reason.
Like they have the connections, experience, communication but absolutely no team wants anything to do with them because they have no clue what they are talking about.
It’s like a purgatory that these clowns have found where they can get paid because they made it somewhere high up but completely failed. |

Exactly. I wouldnt be surprised if they did that at all. The may add a depth foward who can help the PK, but I dont even anticipate that.

Taking a step back, it’s doubtful that Treliving’s pitch to management was that this was going to be the year. He probably preached that he needs time to retool.
In other words, I don’t expect much in the next three hours. - Atomic Wedgie
Other than maybe hanafin (who didn't want to be in Canada) there really is no other guy to get for the leafs so I understand not wasting a first round pick. If there was someone I'd have wanted the leafs to go for it.
The leafs have all the horses to win already on the team. This depth stuff is just fine. Another depth forward wouldn't be terrible either.

1st round picks have not been spent like previous years. Normally a guy like toffoli would be traded for a first. I wonder if GMs are just wanting a couple more picks and kicks at the can in drafts. |

I like how you think guys like matthews (greatest goal scorer in the league) or Nylander (top 10 in takeaways) are worthless. But hey... I'll be happy to see you eat crow when they reach conference finals. |

They're not worthless. But what they are, is passive. Add Marner and JT to that, too. |

Poulin got hired to Sens management. Keith Jones became president in Philly.
Torts went back to coaching.
They likely take these jobs to stay in the fold or stay in their home towns but be close to the game.
