a 3rd team would have to step in to retain salary or the Habs would have to take a bad contract back to offset the cap hit. Unlikely but not impossible.

I haven't changed at all. I never said the core four were bad players. What I have said consistently all along is that they are all too similar in temperament - passivity. They are, and will continue to be unable to elevate and perform when the game gets truly competitive and downright vicious. Talent and skill are not enough.

(Btw, Sidney Crosby is ANYTHING but passive. Your take on Crosby reveals a lot about your lack of understanding of the game.)

Agree. Our core are great players! We just have too many of the same type of player. They get pushed around and punched in the chops and then they are scared and off their game. It’s an easy formula to beat the Leafs, in the playoffs. It’s great that we are beefing up the bottom 6 and the 4,5,6 Dmen. But the top 6 amazing forwards are useless when they are all scared to play their game, in the playoffs. Whether the Leafs are playing the Bruins or Florida, those teams are going to come out hitting because that is the Leafs Kryponite. It just is.

Brad's got a bag of pucks, some unsold Allstar game merch, and a couple of game used Pfaneuf and Kessel sticks from the Scotiabank pro shop to use as trade chips. Should be good.
