Very much agree and align with yours.

Keep Savard since he’s worth more here with the kids. Seeing Allen traded is nice!

Would’ve love to see Harris traded. Lekhonen type of deal but meh, I can live with it

- WaterBoy

I concur with you guy, Savard has much more value here than a later round pick would bring us.

yeah but Harris is currently too unproven to other teams to have an interesting value imho, I think Hughes will get a better deal down the road if he improves his game, and I think chances are he will.

are we supposed to see Hutson play a few games this year..? I've heard it's a possibility if I'm not mistaken, just not sure what the odds are of that happening.
- Pat1993

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him play 1-2 games. Him and DR should get a look.

I’m more interested in DR. Not sure how Hutson’sgame will translate in the nhl

We could get a better deal but that’s a big if.

yeah, I get what you're saying, he might not become legit top 4 material but I think improving from what he currently is and making fewer mistakes isn't too far fetched for him.

I find the hype from a certain portion of the fanbase is way too intense at times for Hutson... I think he'll manage to bring something very interesting at the NHL level but he's gonna need time for sure.

definitely wanna see Reinbacher play a few games too.

His small size scares the Bejesus out of me, I'm afraid he's gonna get hurt playing against the big NHL wingers. Board battles might be a problem for him in our own zone due to the size/strength difference.

Other than that he seems very skilled ... we will see, after all Bouillon was also small but he was built like a tank.

Size is one thing. He seems a tad much or too much oriented on offense. Not sure his game translates

yeah, I guess it's gonna be important to pair him with the right kind of dman that can compliment him the best, wouldn't want to see him with a guy that has basically the same size lol

That aspect of the game can be taught/adjusted in the minors (AHL) but his small size as an NHL defenseman is problematic IMO.

I have had my doubts ever since we drafted him, I hope he can prove me wrong.

How many skilled junior midgets haven’t panned out in the nhl?

I don't have an answer to that but all I can say is look at the teams that make it far in the playoffs and look at the size of their defensemen.

Too bad he isn't a forward because a small size can work better (ie. Caufield) ... but as a D, I have problems seeing it.

Like I said, I hope he makes me eat crow.

You can’t teach a Caufield Hutson to play like a Savard…just like you can’t teach Savard to play like makar in the ahl.

The ahl can be good to “perfect or enhance «  some skills but it will never teach a player what he isn’t.

Maybe ... I'm still curious though to see him in a game or 2 this year in Montreal. We'll get a better idea of what he can do.

I would argue that it may be slightly easier to work on your defensive game than it is to develop an offensive flair, so if Hutson is smart enough of a player he should be able to adapt and work on his weaknesses despite his size, imho.
