The havoc that 4th line causes that some how turned into several scoring chances is so huge.

Did Rempes goal look in right away on tv? I thought it was in immediately from my seat. I ran to the bathroom and heard the waive off I’m like wtf

Before it was 3-0 I noticed he didn’t get a shift and I think Wennberg got some shifts with goodrow and Vesey. So he’s still not getting full 4th line minutes, but he brings the garden to life just by stepping on the ice.
These poor opposing Dmen having to deal with the guy bearing down on them is going to be fun to watch for many years hopefully

Hes great for momentum shifts, getting the crowd alive, getting the bench pumped... but when the opposing team is going full forward pressure, he is a bit of a defensive liability. Which is why I said he needs to spend the entire off-season focusing on his skating.

Totally!
Rempe might actually be a real hockey player. Love it!

- Fenrir

He's almost like a throwback to some of the players in the 80's and 90's. Just go to the front of the net, stand there, screen the goalie and create havoc. Nobody really even attempts to move him. It's fun to watch.

I tell ya his hands are very very good. With the puck. Shot. All that. You’re right, if he gets Boyles skating coach he really could be more then a 4th line guy someday

It looked like it bounced off the inner side post, but the review you can clearly see it came off the post and never completely crossed the line.

For a big guy, his hands arent bad. When youre that lanky being a puck handler is a bit of a challenge, however hes smart, he doesnt hold the puck very long, he either shoots or gets it deep.

Starting Monday the rangers play 5 games in 7 days. Starting with the devils and canes. Pretty wild

Theyre gonna need Brodz, Ruhwedel, Jones, Edstrom, maybe even Robertson, Mackey, Belzile, as well, all to step up to keep the guys fresh. Gonna be an exhausting stretch. Not having Trouba for this stretch sucks.

That was dominating performance last night.

Hey you know this other 6-7 monster the Rangers drafted in 6th round last year, center Dylan Roobroeck looks to be having very good junior season with lots of PIMs and 2nd in points on his team.

Brought him up a few weeks ago, really like the late round picks of drafting size over small skill guys that never pan out for us.

They should just use 6th round picks on gigantic guys all the time

I actually think he’s a solid skater already for his size. Kid can play and should stay in the lineup

Rempe’s skating and hockey sense are very underrated.

I agree. His stride is actually pretty efficient. He gets up and down the ice with no problem. Definitely proving he can be much more than a goon.

I was going to say the same. I feel like his size makes his skating look worse than it is. He tends to be in the right spot a lot. Can't do that if you can't skate. Still room to improve, but it's not like he's Dave Andreychuk.

Having Rempe and Edstrom in the bottom 6 next year will be huge. No more signing the Bonino’s and Pitlicks of the world to fill those spots.

Yeah, great game all around. Roslovic and Wennberg both noticeable. I think Wennberg is going to help out on that bottom 6 a ton. Hopefully Roslovic can do the same for the first line. Rempe is a fun player to watch. Defenseman are always looking over their shoulder when he’s on the ice. Also solid in his own zone which is great to see. I think he’ll be forced to fight in this next game against NJ. Igor getting hot at an opportunistic time here. I’m curious how they’ll use him & Quick over this next stretch of 5 in 7.

I can see the coaching staff trying to get Jones into a rhythm by playing him regularly. What do you guys think?

Give Krug some credit, he’s not very big but he went after Rempe a couple of times. One was a cross check I thought was a penalty. But not many dmen will have the stones to challenge him like because the Rempire strikes back
