New team adrenaline certainly at play but Bunting looks like a really good fit for the type of hockey we play. Would have been fun to see him on a good version of this team.

But a plow man. Or at least a snowblower.
- Grinder47

Hahaha not putting a plow on a SUV and I don't have a garage or shed. Truthfully, I enjoy shovelling as long as it's not first thing in the morning to be able to get somewhere on time ie kid's school. However, this was too much today haha. Some winters we mostly have rain or its kinda dry. What I would call a normal ish winter here though is 2 to 4 snow storms with like 20-40 cms in the season. This winter there was two 25/30cm ones and now two 80/90+ cms ones. Too much haha.

Bunting’s like if Guentzel played like a man. Great trade!

Broadcast said that Kyle Dubas drove to Guentzels house to let him know about everything before anyone knew. Damnit, Kyle. Make it easier to hate you please.

Also, bunting looks shot out of a cannon.

If I told you the pens would have a top 10 defensive team but be completely anemic on the power play AFTER trading for Smith and Karlsson you'd have likely laughed at me until you were blue in the face.

I think next year could be a lot different.

Seemed like the adjustment of the team and EK took longer than expected. Adding a player like him to our PP that's always looking for the perfect play backfired. Jagr said it best (paraphrasing), Just too deferential. More time together and a better scheme will help. They really need a coaching change, but I'll settle for a couple of new assistants.

Actually that's my biggest hope for next year.... The PP will be better. It HAS to be. Can't be worse.

It has to be or there's zero chance of anything good happening. I'm intrigued about how Dubas goes about this off-season. I'm also intrigued about what Sid does. It'll be an interesting off season to say the least.

Based on his comments I don’t think we will see much of those canes prospects. Sounds like he wanted prospects for trade purposes.

Pretty sure we don't have those. I do fish time and time. Was actually ice fishing about a month ago. We're known for some of the best fishing in the world, especially in the land locked portion of our province "Labrador". Get a lot of high profile people visiting for salmon fishing including Sid who comes every summer... I've heard of a few your ex Presidents visiting often too.

I know the team is getting old, but they still have the talent. That should be hung around Sully's neck all off-season. If I'm Dubas, I'm soliciting a whole bunch of outside opinions on what went wrong. I'm not trusting Sully to assess his own work.

St. John’s
St. John river has musky. Big musky. I fly fish for them religiously. I follow a guy that fishes that river. It’s kind of a niche thing.
Maybe I’m thinking New Brunswick?

Next year I'm expecting a dynamic PP but a lot of injuries and leaky goaltending, back to Penguins hockey.

These 2 teams are great examples of why coaching and systems matter.

Looking at these rosters while Jake was here the Pens should be the better team and it’s not close.

That's our whole season right there. Just too many missed opportunities. Then the other team scores 30 seconds later.
