Malkin clear lane to the net. Passed to a guy with 4 NHL goals. EK clear shot, tries to pass through 27 sticks. That’s the season.

Jake is the Trojan horse. Skeji is a UFA. Pens are trading Karlsson and Smith and signing Jake and Brady on July 1st. Book it.

The players are sending the GM a message... We give up on this coach. The owners are sending the GM a message... We want a top 5 pick... So Sully stays.

Legit the only things I care about for the Penguins at this point 1) Maximize your chances in the draft lottery 2) Get Crosby his 1 PPG record to keep his streak alive.

????There isnt a team on the NHL who will want EK unless Pens retain 50% salary for next 3 yrs. Otherwise he is untradeable

Man. You're really beating a dead horse around here about EK. It's like you're just lurking waiting for someone to mention him then you respond. It's actually at a creepy level now.

Same.

I’ll add one more thing. Find out what some of these kids can do in WBS.

Good momentum going into tomorrow's game against Edm. Softened up to be bent over again.

They've had their chances but for a team that was already finishing challenged to lose their best goal scorer.... Well... I suspect they're going to be either shut out or only get 1 a few more times this season haha.

Also, hear a lot of things about Jakes production being a bi product of playing with Sid. I think it went both ways. Sid's production has already dropped off a bit since Jake was injured.

It's honestly a shame this didnt happen last year when we could've been in the Bedard lottery.

Sid looks like he’s just carried a team and it wasn’t enough. He’s looks tired and defeated.

I havent been in the Mike Sullivan needs to go crowd because I think he is a really good coach... but I do believe if this is the direction the Penguins want to move in, Sullivan isnt the guy. I wonder if a contender has a bad postseason and wants to bring in Sullivan.

Agreed, he just looks off. Looks lost without his linemates.

I hope its not an injury. If its an injury, shut him down.

He carried the team the whole season. If he didn't have a great game the Pens didn't win for the most part. He hasn't looked the same since the Calgary loss. He knew things were going to change after that collapse.

Penguins were leapfrogged by the Sabres today. Penguins now 8th in the draft lottery. If we finished 8th, the lowest we could be is 10th, therefore we'd keep our pick if we wanted to.

Based on lottery odds, we'd have a 6% chance of the 1st pick and 6.2% chance of the 2nd pick. Not sure if those are impacted by the fact the Blackhawks cant have the #1 pick this season.

Last thought from the game today - I like Bunting's game today.

I'm not giving up on Puustinen yet, but I give Bemstrom a shot at Malkin's RW tomorrow.

Bunting looks like a guy that got here a few years too late. Would have been a solid piece when this team was still competitive.

Who’s the prospect we want with a top 10 pick?

I don’t believe that’s true. My understanding is that a team cannot win the lottery more than twice in a five-year span (starting with the 2022 lottery).
