Jake's got some immense pressure for this playoff run. If he lights it up and helps lead the Canes to a deep run he might be close to a $10M player. If he falls flat, he might look like a Crosby byproduct and end up in the $7-8M range. Big deal over a 7 year contract.

There's a lot of copium about Jake being a product of Sid. It's like you and many others have said, they help each other. It's not like Sid is still the top offensive center in the game anymore.

Fortunately for them, Pens can't recall replacements anyways. Not that they are doing much either, rarely notice the third line.

Saw Bergeron at the rink this morning, his kid was playing a mite game on the other half ice from us. Marchand is there frequently too. Our kids are always more fired up when they know those guys are in the building. We won today 9-4. Maybe I should get a parent to dress up like Pasta for our playoffs.
