Oh I agree, I just have to go pick some up. Problem is our local beer store is nearly empty because it’s getting shutdown two weeks for a renovation on Sunday so they have next to nothing in there. Means I need to go to another beer store or hit up the grocery store, and I know damn well doing either will result in my gf putting a list of other things to get in my hands lol

My gf ran out to drop something off to our daughter/grandkids so I quickly ran out and grabbed some and just got back lol

Oh hell, I won’t pretend to be anything special, I typically just drink bud at home and save the special beers for when I’m out and about and can get them as actual pints. She’s fine with that because she flips back and forth from beer to Caesars.

A funny damn thing happened once out at a restaurant, I had a local pint (admittedly forget its name) and when she ordered (I’m a nasty epileptic) she accidentally ordered a seizure. Damn I laughed at the look on the server’s face because it was priceless.

Needless to say she tried correcting herself quickly but there’s no such thing as fast enough when it comes to something like that lol

Omg anyone who thinks Benoit is better than Rielly Brodie Liljegren McCabe Lyubushkin or Edmundson is dense. He might be able to hit a little better and gets penalized more often than a couple of them but that’s it. He’s a bloody AHLer, hence the recent upgrades.

Problem is you have to keep ordering pizza with those parameters. 6 beers will get you through half them game but also with UFC after, minimum 12 beer night.

But let’s face it, the ideal pairing is someone who can move the puck along with a shutdown guy and if they though Benoit was skilled enough why did they go trade away picks to get Lyubushkin and Edmundson?

The new pairings make total sense. Brodie is a good two way player with a physical shutdown guy like McCabe now. Rielly is a puck mover who has needed a Lyubushkin style shutdown guy as a partner for awhile. As for the bottom pairing Liljegren can focus on his puck moving against bottom six forwards with a super tall, huge reach, defence first guy like Edmundson.

Unless something turns out to be a horrible failure of a deal I’m fully expecting Benoit to be the 7th for the rest of the year. He’s being cut from the lineup in Montreal ffs, it’s pretty obvious.

Benoit has been on of my favourite Dmen this year. I am kinda surprised we picked up Boosh and Edmundson just to drop him to 7, but I am sure there are plenty of things the coaching staff picks up, especially watching countless hours of broken down video so they have their reasons. I do think after what he has given the Leafs this year to sit him tonight is a bit off side.

I have always been a fan but he can be real bad when struggling and that happens too much for my liking. Seems to get into his own head so much and not deal well with either fore checking pressure, or the pressure he puts on himself when he starts playing bad. But our top 7 appears a lot better without Timmins, Lagesson, and unfortunately Gio...

Ideally, playing Lilly gives them one mobile guy and one net clearer on each pairing. But Liljegren needs to show he can play consistently. He’s not setting the playoff lineup tonight.
