I had hopes for the kid, thought he could be another Leks with a better scoring touch.

He can / will likely play in the NHL, but I do not see a future for him on the team.

yeah, he's very talented, best shot on the Habs after Caufield, but he needs to much time to find his X. took him 1 year more than expected in Laval. they are not that patient in the NHL. he would probably need a year or 2 more, that won't happen.
that being said, can't say the coach helped him that much. it's not playing 4th line minutes with Pezzetta that he will show what he can do. he did have a few games on the top 6, but not for long enough. have to play him there for 10-20 games. not 2.

Roy did in a month what Ylonen was unable to do in 2 years.

I think it's Russia where you're required to have a dashboard cam to get insurance. poop like that is a huge scam over there

You can see Roy's hockey IQ is on another level. Ylonen has individual skills, but he's not good at reading the play...especially in his zone. I see him often bumping into his teammates in defensive coverage. Completely lost.

Also, concerning the bolded, I think Roy's shot is underrated. Maybe not the hardest, but his release is pretty quick and hard to anticipate.

Roy was an excellent pick in the 5th round.
I hope they learned something there. drafting local talent in rounds 5-6-7 instead of obscure russians noone knows.
