i had some older friends who used to play iron maiden all the time so i know some of the popular songs and they were pretty good for their time i guess.
- kicksave856

you mean they put on their songs or they actually jammed to it?

they have some good tracks for sure, I remember listening to Trooper on an endless loop for a whole evening lol.

just listening to their CDs.

although one of these guys was very proud that they could sort of play like 10 seconds worth of one iron maiden song.

How is that gay?

Super hot chick with gorgeous hair.

Just looking at her, I think I need to go relieve some tension.

She’s so hot.

How could that possibly be gay?

I'm a kid of the 80s.

Loved that poop when I was a teen.

Big hair. Lipstick rock.

There was an assimilation of the Bowie-type androgynous persona into all facets of music and media, which opened up a lot of conversations and acceptance of different people.

Unfortunately, rather than taking that acceptance and building upon it, most of the (frank)ers of my generation emphatically decided to wrap their whole identity around Gordon Gekko's "Greed is good" mantra.

All those (frank)ers are ruining the world like the self-entitled wieners they truly are, and they do not care who they have to trash to make a buck or gain power, they will do it.

Anyways... late, heading to bed.

Night.

not sure if you know this band called The Agonist..?

the guy on the left was a friend of mine back in the day, it's insane how good he is at playing the (frank)ing guitar. he could play any Maiden song for sure.

I know right?

metal bands are often super serious with their band pics. "we're hardcore and we don't (frank) around" sort of thing.

it's a schecter. they're apparently great metal guitars. the description on guitarcenter.com starts "When six or seven strings won't suffice, reach for the Schecter C-8 MS Silver Mountain.."

also, the paint job is even on the back, even the back of the neck.

the color is called toxic venom. that's pretty (frank)ing metal.

yeah, I know about Schecter, a lot of metal guitarists play with one, notably Avenged Sevenfold (I remember that one cuz I liked that band and wanted the same guitar lol). I think Robert Smith from The Cure plays with one too. I'm no guitar expert but they make some high-quality poop as far as I'm concerned.

yeah, that's pretty much what you have to dish out to get a high-end instrument lol.

I mean, for me who just likes to (frank) around with a guitar, 700$ is gonna be more than enough to buy something decent, but professional guitarists who are very technical can get way more picky with their sound and will often want something more.

god I miss jamming and being insanely loud with my old Marshall amp. it's probably the thing I hate the most from living in an apartment, can't do that poop here...

oh (frank) yes. you jam it out, and then to finish it off you post selfies of yourself with a face that says "I am contemplating mass murder". very therapeutic indeed.

noice. not sure why but that one screams "Weezer" to me, even if their guitars probably don't even look like that at all lol.

you can't really go wrong with that kind of guitar imho, you know it's gonna be versatile and very good quality.

someday i'll get it. once i get home and save up some money.

it kind of has a surf rock thing going on. they say the squier guitars should be good as long as you don't get like the bottom 2 or 3 trimlines. the classic vibe line is one of the good ones apparently.

even the bottom lines are good to learn on though. the squier bullet stratocaster is under $250

yup, and it may not cost all that much but you're still getting a decent guitar for that price.

even imitation brands can be good, I still have an Alvarez on my wall which is basically an Ibanez replica, it isn't the same thing for sure but for me it's more than decent, I find it plays well and the pick-ups are good, at half the price I sure as (frank) won't be complaining.

the guitar i had that was signed by chris cornell and eddie vedder was a squier bullet strat and i obviously didn't touch that one often but i held it and strummed it a few times and it felt like a solid guitar.

yeah, doesn't look so great on the pic but there aren't a whole lot online

and I just saw a posting of one selling for almost 1,300$...

either I'm mistaken about its cheapness, or the guy is seriously trying to make a buck lol.

maybe, but even if I'm not playing with it currently I don't really want to sell it, I just want to find a way to play with it when I want to lol...

I'm actually looking for headphones right now, I may have to spend a good little chunk of money for a high-end pair but it might be worth it to play in my apartment. won't be the same as blasting my amp but with a good sound quality it should end up being a pleasant enough experience.
