Hart in tough with MacKinnon.
Selke only PIMs stopping him imo but should win it anyways. - Nighthawk
Ya, MacKinnon should win Hart, but seeing what some of the voters write, it will more than likely go to McDavid, after all, these are the same people.e that voted Erik Karlsson as the top defenseman, Karlsson is brutal at actually playing defense. |

Hughes. All season, norris and hart. Miller is second for me at this poiint though, he's been unreal since the all star break. - neem55
Most improved.
Pouty, most disappointing.(yes I am aware of his point totals) |

The Norris is for the best defenseman, Karlsson had the first 100 point season for a d-men in a long while, he might not have been the best /all-around/ defensman but he did do something no d-man had done in quite a lot of years and no one was close in scoring to him. |

QH call was a make up for the call Lafferty drew while holding onto the players leg. |

Would be good to win for a guy who's too small to ever be elite, eh? |

Again, he did something no defenseman did in decades, no one was even close. People would have screamed bloody murder if they gave it to someone else that year. Not to mention since it's a trophy that's voted on, it's subjective as to what "all-around ability" means considering different people will define it differently. Truthfully, they should have a seperate trophy for the top d-man scorer from the Norris like they do the Selke and Art Ross. I don't believe there's been a player that won both in the same year. |

This hasnt really been the real criteria for a long time, Doughty would have had a couple more same with Hedman if it was. |

Exactly.
As far as I am concerned, they need to reassess how they determine the winner of individual awards. |

Well they gave it to Karlsson, so I guess anyone can win it. |

Yes, both Hedman and Doughty and Pietroanelo should have won the trophy more. As I said in the comment to Nighty, it is how, or who votes on these awards, most of these voters are either analytic idiots, or shiny slurpers. |

Of all the remaining Canucks free-agents, Nikita Zadorov is the most important. IMO |
