I don't think they were that bad considering the number of games played recently, line blender, plus new faces, in a tough building, because regardless of where the Scabs are in the standings, it's always a slog in their barn against the Queefs.

Samsonov's return this season is a pretty wild story. Good on Sammy. That's quite impressive under all that pressure.

The power play sucked large. Other low-lights included the early goal when Boosh coughed up a break away and the Leafs not getting a shot on goal in the third until the period was nearly half over. I really wish the Leafs learned to shoot the puck more.

It's quite the pleasant turn of events. He's been born again SamsoHARD.

If he keeps this up, I'll feel better when the playoffs roll around. I have faith in Woll, but it would be nice to have a solid tandem and not just fully rely on the kid.

He was at the point where everyone said he's just done at the NHL level. It's a remarkable turnaround.

The Leafs probably need both guys in the playoffs. But mainly the Leafs playoffs is gonna be determined by Auston Matthews. He has to dominate.

Tampa and Philly have some real poopshow games over the years. Lots of high-scoring beer league type games. You could tell very early on where that one was headed.

Playoff race : I think the Devils are toast. Allen is not gonna bail them out. Pittsburgh was done weeks ago. Detroit is falling to Earth after briefly touching the sun. I really think the Isles have a chance of getting in. I don't think Tampa is a lock, but if they keep showing up like they did last night, then they're in.

You're right though about Matthews. I wanna see him snatch the Jesus mantle away from McDavid by putting the Leafs on his back and climbing the mountain. He'll be the honorary prime minister of Canada if he does that.

Islanders are 2pts back of Detroit with 2 games in hand and 4 points back of Philly with 3 games in hand.

I think it’s going to be a tight race down the stretch. One losing streak from any of those teams and their season is probably done.

Marner probably could've gained 2 or 3 points on Willy last night with Willy being held off the board. Unfortunately Marner wasn't able to play. Nylander's superior durability is coming into play and time is running out for Marner to catch him.

I think Detroit and Tampa get in. 5 Atlantic team playoff.

Leafs are off until Thursday? That’s another long break. Atleast guys will get healthy from the flu and maybe some nagging injuries.
