Fun fact: the Chicago Blackhawks have been eliminated from the playoffs. - Atomic Wedgie
I'm glad to hear this...maybe some of the hype around the next-baby Jesus will fade away... gaud its boring.
and I do hope that San Jose does finish last and gets the first pick overall - stunning house cleaning at the trade deadline

sure looks like they need it... a bunch of them have appeared to be considerably less than 100% for over a week.
heard through the grapevine that Edmundson got sick upon arrival... whatever the super scientist dietician is or isn't doing seems to be a mess - send them home for 2 full days...no rink, no team meetings - eat heavy protein based meals and clear your heads.
- I just read that the Leafs lost Lageson... through waivers claim. Does that mean that they have first priority picking the next players that go on waivers? - BorjeFan4Ever
Nope.
Waiver priority is based on the standings. |

thanks - thought so... dumb move on Leafs part. Should have waived Giordano... he wasn't going to be taken by anyone... and likely won't play anymore with concussion issues.
seems like throwing Lageson away unnecessarily

Could well be on their way to back to back 1st overall picks. Could be the first team to do it since the poopbag coilers had a hat trick of first overall picks. The group of drunks and idiots running Edmonton were quite fortunate on one of those picks.

Way too early to slot Bedard. He looks very good. Slack-off-ski looked like a pile of poop last year, but he's coming around. McDavid did not win a Calder. He lost to Panarin mostly because a couple of Flyers decided to injure McDavid accidently on purpose.

He's got the skill, but in a big man's world, it's going to be rough on him. He needs a complimentary player like Marner is to Matthews to get the best out of him. Right now, he's an island all to himself, skill-wise in Chicago.

I think Gio is on Injured Reserve so already doesn't count on our roster. Still needed to move someone else.

I would say this is BS. Bedard is 5'10", Sidney Crosby is 5'11", Marcel Dionne 5'9" (sixth all time points leader), Steve Yzerman 5'10" (seventh). As further evidence, Lindros could be on a scoring leader list but despite being a player with skill and size he did not stay healthy.

Bedard has already been beat up physically. Those players mentioned Dionne, Yzerman and Crosby, outside of Sidney Crosby, the other two played in an era of wide open hockey and lots of expansion. Their point levels would not be the same today, if they were in their prime. Today's NHL rules and officiating often makes it harder to score, with hulking defensemen and analytics at play. It may have been dirtier back then, but retribution often happened if they took a run at a smaller, skilled player. The enforcers did just that. They enforced the stick work and the cheap shots by dropping the gloves and weren't penalized for a policing action against a reptile. Today, the snakes like Marchand never get what's coming to them and actually draw penalties with their dirty play.

McDavid got beat up physically his first year. Sidney Crosby was "Cindy Crysby."
Bedard should be fine. |

I don't think Lagesson is anyone to be too worried about. Assuming Timmins comes back healthy, it would put a guy like Lagesson 9th on the team's defensive depth charts - now he'll be replaced in 9th by Lajoie - I guy who probably isn't as good, but it's so marginal that if you're relying on either of one of these guys in the playoffs, you're not going anywhere.

Maybe because the name Jesus is associated with a fictional character who’s the backbone of a religion that’s caused so much pain and suffering for humankind. |

Not gonna lie - this could be the best worst movie ever made.
Maybe even better than Bloodsport or Hot Dog: the Movie. |

It’s less a movie and more a montage of homo-erotic rock videos. |
