anybody know where a guy can sell 17,000 identical bobbleheads? Asking for a friend. - BINGO!
The funniest tweet I saw surrounding this was when the Not Bob Nutting account (Pirates owner) sent out an advertisement that the first 15K fans on Opening Day would receive a Jagr bobblehead.

hahaha if he comes back on like a one year league minimum this place will be unfit... would totally fly in the face of that we have to get younger stuff, though. - MattStrat
All seriousness, unless there is some milestone he's chasing, I'd be shocked if Carter wants to come back and play for league minimum on a fourth line. Made his money, won his Cups, time to retire. |

Just depends on if they are able to dump Reilly Smith and Eller.

(frank) defense in my proposed team by the way. - j.boyd919
I think it's going to be nearly impossible to move Graves, probably more than is wise to afford. Otherwise, definitely room to make some moves.
Rackell is a tough one too. He makes top six money, but Sully seems to hate him and Geno together.
I do think Eller will be back and they'll hope a young player can beat him for his spot.
I honestly just want to find a center and move Malkin to Sid's wing as my top priority, then figure out the rest.
Another good RW would be nice, but with Puustinen, Bennstrom, Puljujarvi and the talk of getting younger I think one gets at least the 3 RW spot. Though I guess that's a nice spot for Yager to win.

I am all for a youth movement, Dubas just needs to remove the poopty vets from the roster and force Sully's hand, just don't expect it to happen lol

Great then play him with Sid and give Rust to Malkin. Why does Sullivan make this kind of stuff so hard? |

I think Dubas has already landed the first couple shots here. You don't think trading Ruhwedel was a move to force Sullivan to play Ludvig. How about recalling Gruden and Puustinen and leaving Zohorna and Hinestroza in Wilkes-Barre. If those aren't the beginnings of Dubas youth movement, I don't know what more you can do.

Gruden does not belong in this. He’s young but he’s a plug with no ceiling. |

Koivunen is also a right wing. I would think at the very least he comes over for training camp next fall. Supposedly he is a year away from the NHL. It may be better for him to stay and play in the AHL rather than return to Finland.

I kinda wanna take a shot at Bertuzzi this offseason. I figured he could be a good cheap option. Same with Olofsson, Kubalik, Duchene, Domi, and Foegele.
I do like Debrusk and the Duclair. I actually almost prefer keeping Eller at the 3rd center spot and filling around him with some talent. I think maybe:
Bunting- Crosby - Rust
Bertuzzi - Malkin - Foegele
DOC- Ponomarev- Puustinen
Kubalik - Eller - Acciari |

I really hope MAF had something to do with the bobblehead heist. He's known for his practical jokes, and that would be an epic one to pull right before retiring. |

No doubt, I do think it's telling that Dubas would choose to recall Gruden over the other two. Why he didn't recall Poulin is baffling.
Sullivan dressing Gruden over Puljujarvi just adds to why Sullivan needs to go.

If Bingo is right that his big issue was the speed of the NA game, then he has to play in the AHL next season. He’s a PPG in Finland. Nothing else to really figure out over there. Just needs to know if his game can translate to NA. |

His trial run in the AHL last year went pretty bad. Hope he comes over, but he needs to prove himself at that level first. |

And yet Gruden is WBS's top goal scorer.
Which for me just means he can replace Nieto or Harkins. |

He's actually 8th for this season when you include guys who've been shipped out, some of which a nice while, like Pitlick or more recent ship outs Nylander and Smith. Poulin has more points than him in 11 less games.
EDIT: you clearly said goal scorer, sorry. Nylander had more. Poulin has 1 less in 11 less games. Hinostroza has 2 less in 12 less games.

Yep. The talent is there. The brains are there. It's just a matter of "Can he adapt to the speed" because his footwork is pretty average. |

Yeah, he's been a disappointment for Leafs so far. However, if he shows up big in playoffs that will be forgiven haha.
Its crazy because he's spent a lot of the season on the top line with stud Matthews. |

Haha just using a stat I thought would surprise some to say he does have a little bit of skill. No way would I claim he's more skilled than Poulin.
I do think he plays the game of a fourth liner and has enough skill to make it in the NHL, but that's his ceiling. |
