its unfortunate the Leafs only have 7 draft picks for the 7 rounds this coming draft
- senstroll

One 4th
Three 5ths
Two 7ths.

Then 3 picks in the 2025 draft (5th - 7th)
Sorry, what are the odds of getting an nhl player from the 4th and beyond? 22% decreasing to 11%.

Gonna be tough for Tree the next couple of years.

Leafs will have their first this year....at least there is that. Leafs should get a good player at 18th or 19th overall.

He has his 1st which is the only pick that has a good chance.

6 lottery picks after that is fine, its better than what most contenders have thats for sure.

Also they can trade Lilly or Robertson for picks if they want to move on...lots of options beyond thi year.

Yes thats the hope or use it for a big trade when prices have gone down.

(And yes I see what you did there)

Big year for the Leafs, lack of playoffs success will lead to big roster/coaching changes IMO.

Enough with the insanity to trying over and over again with the same recipe.

I have looked at the RHD list way too much on cap friendly and its pretty brutal.

Most of the good ones are 33+ and not going anywhere. There are some in their prime but they are on really good teams.

Parayko
Durzi

trade

Roy
Pesce
Tanev(meh)

free agency

There are some other decent lower end options like Hakkanpa but not top 4. Tre has his work cut out for him for that RHD.

Nothing available that would have drastically changed the leafs to better their odds. Imo.
Glad he didn’t trade the 1st.
It may still get moved at the draft or off season.

Gotta make the 3rd round. If not, keefe has to go.

Seeing the trade that the avs and sabres made, makes me wish the leafs had done something similar....maybe instead of extending willie. Or maybe it occurs with marner.
But it is what it is, at least we know this type of trades can occur in sesson.
Young top end players can and will be traded.

I think so too...I think there is quite a bit of turnover on D.

Even if they win the cup.

I mean if they win the cup some GMs are going to be throwing millions at Boosh, Edmondson, Brodie

At four Loblaw-owned stores, customers who go through self-checkout must scan their receipt's barcode — confirming that they paid something — which opens a metal gate, letting them leave.

wtf

I have to start paying now?

Yup.
One of boosh or Edmundson possibly gets extended and he tries to bring in Tanev in (hopefully no more than 5m).
Then find a cheap 1 year filler or two until the cap opens up in 2025.

Edmundson was already breaking down 3 years ago. I'd stay away from him moving forward.
