I’m honestly thinking his injury ended his year as a starter and he simply won’t be ready for the playoffs.

I know there is a poop ton of Woll love but in this particular case it’s outweighing the honest perceptions of his play.

If I’m wrong I’m wrong but Samsonov has been the leafs best goalie for awhile now and the why doesn’t matter at this point in the season.

At the beginning of the year Sammy was the starter and Woll backup. They’ve both had their ups and downs but, for Woll to start the playoffs he needs to TAKE the net from Sammy, and I dont feel that has happened, looking at the whole picture. Sammy starts the playoffs.

It’s not the team that lost the games it was him letting in weak goals which deflates a team’s confidence. To win a cup you need a goalie who doesn’t need a team playing perfect in front of him, you need one who can bail them out for making a mistake.

If we are going off based on this the Sammy is the leader. He was literally sent through waivers and could have been had for free because he was so bad.

There’s only 18 games to go. Keefe needs to choose his starter for the post season and roll with him. I know a lot of you won’t like it but hopefully it’s Samsonov because well… Woll hasn’t played all that good since returning. His GAA is 3.41 after 3 starts and it would be over 4 if it wasn’t for a game against Anaheim. He has had two games against the likely first round opposition for the leafs, Boston, and let in 4 goals in each of those games. Is that who you guys want to roll with?

Yes the team was brutal but part of the reason why they were was due to a few weak goals let in by Woll which essentially destroyed their confidence.
