Excellent! I bet it's a very smooth transition and he impresses RT next camp. Too early for me to try and predict if he'll make the team or not.

I would hope he gets acclimated nicely & get in some action in the AHL PO’s. Don’t expect lots but no rush.

Hughes is having a very good season and playing together has definitely helped both of them but Hughes isn't bringing up someone that much.
Forsling next contract is 5.75 playing with Ekblad. Toews 7.25 playing with Makar.
Some others could be
Reilly (7.5)
Dunn (7.35)
Sanheim (6.25)
Sergachev (8.5) (Huge overpayment for not actually winning 2 cups)
Toews contract is right close to where it should be since it starts next year as well. Toews has 1 cup but is also going to be 30 and Hronek will be 27.

Forsling is getting the Florida discount but through similar number of career games is 50 career points behind Hronek. They have the same even strength points though.

Right shot D are hard to come by, that's leverage. Seravalli said it starts at 12M for Petey and 11.6. I remember back in the day it was 6.5 for Myers turned into 6. So I'd guess that the 8 that Frank says it starts with is going to turn into 7.5 and I'm okay with that. (because inflation)

If rumours are to be believed, Irfaan Gaffar had the Canucks’ most recent offer to Hronek in the range of eight years, $52-54 million total, and an AAV between $6.5 million and $6.75 million.

As of now, that would fit Hronek in to having a top-30 salary among NHL defenders, and probably a little lower than that once the dust settled on all the other contracts in need of signing around the league.

The table seems set for the Canucks to make Hronek a larger offer than they currently have, but not all that much higher.

For today, we’re going to predict that the eight-year term sticks, and that the average salary settles in at somewhere between $7 million and $7.4 million.

WTF? Comparing those 3 players when there is a new coach & mgmt is apples & oranges. RT’s opinion carries weight & RHD which Edler wasn’t don’t grow on trees
- Nighthawk

Greens opinion carried weight too at one time. It's not the players per se it's the situation and moving on from Myers is what's going to need to happen overall.

Let's change two core pieces of a winning team, might as well trade Hughes miller and Demko at that point.

So did Islanders, Sharks, Sabres, Pens, Devils, Panthers, Flyers, Habs, Wild, and Kings…so far.

Looks like a bunch of teams and another bunch won. Crazy sport that hockey

That’s right, forgot - my bad. You folks would rather Leafs lose than your team win. Rather pay attention to the Leafs than your own team.

I guess I still don’t get it - you guys have one of the better teams in the league and yet are so obsessed with the Leafs and what they are doing.

I look at the leafs board (and others) and not a sole ever mentions the Canucks. Having such a great season and yet such an irrelevant organization that nobody’s cared about. I mean me coming on here to point out how ridiculous and clownish you all look with your bizarre inferiority thing you have with Ontario, Toronto, and Leafs - is about as relevant as you guys get. A passing through comment type thing. That’s all.

Goodnight and enjoy your game.

Always nice of the Canucks to give up goals for Ovi.

RT has the blender going. Maybe Petey will get his game to the level needed.

It was a let down of a second Canucks just slowed down. Canucks to need to command the 3rd.

Whole lot of possession and skating by Canucks and no clean shots.
