They were 29-0-0 and are now 5-1-4 in their past 10 when having a lead. during the same time they had some impressive wins vs Vegas and Winnipeg and come back wins vs Boston and LA.

Canucks have been a streaky team all year. The games mean more now and Canucks have not been good in the 3 on 3 and SO this year. Which doesn't happen in the playoffs.

- manvanfan

Post all-star break I think a lot of the better teams in the league are going through a tougher stretch as they start to deal with fatigue and injuries.

Feb. 6th the Avs lost to the Rangers, during a thirteen game stretch that followed, including that game, they lost eight of them. Boston's lost ten of their last sixteen games. Rangers lost three of their last seven. Carolina's lost four of their last nine. Dallas lost seven of their last thirteen. Only Florida has really maintained a good winning record as of late, for top teams anyways.

Regular season means jack sh!t in the PO's dude. Sure they have closed some games out but blowing 2 goal and 3 goal leads in the Po's all the time won't tranlate well to end results. Doesn't change the fact the club has blown many leads. But I'm sure you will let us know how it all works out lol

Flames seem to have an issue with players/prospects, first Dube, now Finnish prospect

#Canucks  Elias Pettersson has 31+48=79 in 67 games. He is now on pace for 97 points for the season. Will EP40 get the points needed over final 15 games to reach 100 points for a second straight season?

7.3 million for near 100 points!!

Thanks NYN.
Great start to the game when JTM was all gas no brakes.
After a shaky start, I thought Georgiev kept them in the game and made some decent saves to keep the game from being a blow out.

The ice started to tilt halfway through the game and it seemed like Van was just trying to get out the period asap.

That late goal in the 2nd was on Lindholm wasn’t it? Whoever it was, they didn’t take the stick and the rest is history.

In the famous words of Naslund, we choked last night.
I was glad to see Mikeyev finally get one and hope that Lindholm can get the monkey off his back next game.

You're an oilers fan, and so very aware of that. Playoff Nurse and Skinner are a sight to see!
- neem55

Oilers are a better team than us but that doesn't mean they are going deep in the PO's this year either. maybe next year. This current Canucks roster is having a great reg season but we got a taste of how PO's are gonna go last light blowing a 3-0 lead vs a very tired Avs club on a back to backer. Demko back healthy will help but it won't be enough. Just reality dude.

Friedman: I believe the Canucks would like to keep Teddy Blueger, Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers (at a lower number). Might not be possible, but it’s been discussed.

No mention of Zadorov or Lindholm.

Friedman: The Canucks did have to do some damage control with Elias Lindholm. They weren’t happy it got out they even remotely considered moving him. (It was hard to tell who was angrier: Vancouver about that, or Los Angeles about speculation of who might have been involved in an Ullmark move.)

Bruins just being lil female doges.

Should be able to win the next 4 games. I viewed this one as the toughest to win on the home stand got a point learn from it.

We’ve played well on back to backs it’s the 4 in 6 that drain you.

Did you know, Pouty is being paid 10.25 this season and Miller is making 9.5, yet is out-producing the higher paid player.

Also, did you know, 22 of the top 50 scorers in the league are Canadian, 10 are American and 7 are Swedes.

Did you know 11 out 32 teams the highest paid player is the highest producer.

So, 21 of 32 teams don't pay their highest producer the most, like the Canucks.

Completely irrelevant, but thanks for sharing. Much appreciated. As for the top 50 scoring, with around 42-44% of the players in the league being Canadian, that pretty much falls right in line with that number.

Did you know that only three Canadians are in the top 10 in NHL scoring, and that includes Willy Nylander who was born in Canada but raised in Sweden.

They did choke but also Avs turned on the Jets. You can not blame the refs or DeSmith, Canucks took stupid penalties.

I thought Petey was invisible and I thought McKinnon showed why he is a tier above him. It was a statement game and Avs left their business card behind to show don't forget about us. First two periods were entertaining.

They probably want too much and management knows it. I'm surprised withMyers though. We really aren't better with him anymore.

I didn't watch the game, too late for me, however, MacKinnon is two tiers above Petey, not one. I'm reading on X he (EP40) was the worst forward 5v5, at least according to the fancy stats.

The closest Canucks have to that type of player is Miller and he is nowhere near as good.

Canucks not the only team to overpay tier 2 and tier 3 players.
