been saying that for months

He is playing that much because of the circumstances….

And it could be the same for first half of next season but it theoretically should reduce in second part of the season…

Would be interesting to see how his ice time will evolve when Hutson and Mailloux will be on the team next year…. Not sure he will be on first power play segment….

I'm not too sure Hutson and Mailloux will make the team next year tbh.
they could easily play him 22 minutes and give these 6 mins to the kids. easily.
maybe they would lose? so (frank)in what?

Because the season is down the drain and things will be very different in a year from now…

In OT, the team have either Matheson or Ghule to put on the ice… Next year, there will be more suitable options…

Be calm and stay positive!

I was just being sarcastic, my friend!

I’m excited for, not only the team, but the franchise overhaul.

I think everyone got a wake-up call and we have the best duo we’ve ever had. And honest and mailable enough to change with the times or stay ahead of them.

I think both of them will be there season will end…. Savard could be traded and next deadline…. Something will need to happen with Barron…. I think the latest is real disappointment…. Hope he gets back on track because he will be dumped…

Hutson will not sign with the Habs to play at Laval(exact same pattern than Caufield)…. Mailloux should get couple of games with the Habs if the Rocket is either eliminated or qualified for the playoffs…

well, if the Rocket make the playoffs I'm pretty sure Mailloux is playing there.

he's been playing better hockey lately, good for him. he can continue that pace in the AHL for now.

yep, because others are passing in front of him on the depth chart.
Mailloux is now in front of him. and it's only a question of time before Reinbacher does the same.

so there are better guys in front of him, good. doesn't mean he can't be good as well in a year or 2, the habs don't have to just give up on him.

wouldn't be surprised to see him go in a trade this summer tbh.
you know, the famous trade we all expect Hughes to make...

I'd be fine with it depending on the return, but the potential is there to be selling higher if they're a bit more patient with him imho.

do we get some dancing lobsters or something if our Habs manage to get a god damn loser point?

yeah, probably. but he is making the same mistakes in Laval now that he was making in Montreal last fall. he just doesn't seem to have the stamina to be on a top4. if they have to trade a few dmen.... he could very well be gone imo. that's a good news in the sense that we have better options. it's a bad news because that Lek trade is not looking good. depending on the return like you say.

both guys you named have 0 games played in the NHL combine, my friend
hes still very young and this is mtl weak side on defense. It has been for a while now

lets just keep him for now instead of selling low

Barron can't play defensively. He has good individual skills with the puck, but it stops there. I thought he'd be driving the play more in the AHL but it's not the case. One on one battles are a constant struggle
