Gonna be honest.

Slaf's progression as a player has been the thing that has kept me watching the Habs this deep into the season - fun to see that growth.

The rest of the team has been hit or miss.

Suzuki's also showing an interesting progression this year.

Caufield has showed he can be more than just a goal scorer, although we all hope he can find his usual sniping abilities again next year.

All that's interesting from this team comes from young players that will be part of our core moving forward. It's fun.

Roy, Struble, Primeau, Guhle, Xhekaj... there's more than a few good stories imho. once you've accepted that it's a rebuild it really isn't that turrible.

Roy is looking very good. Very happy for him.

I know people have the impression that the defense has been all around horrible all year, but it's a lack of consistency more than anything. for a young group of guys I think they're on the right path.

Slaf's turn-around after the 30-35 game mark has been amazing. It is like a switch turned on and her get it. There have been other ok stories this season, but nothing as big (or needed) as Slaf's development.

I am all in on the rebuilt, but the season is getting longer (and that is without playoffs!) and I am getting older.

Only so much time left, gotta use it wisely.

I think overall team defence has been bad, not any particular person on defence.

We have seen a lot of individual player improvements this year, but we have not see much "team" improvements... and that is what I want to see next year.

yeah, I think the team evolving as a group directly depends on the young guys getting better individually in their own end, so I'm not all that worried they should get it together eventually, starting from next year it should already start looking better.

well you don't say! lol

their PP has improved, but that is more related to Suzuki and Slaf taking a step around xmas than anything else.

pour le reste c'est pas fort. completeley dominated by CLB, spent most of the game in their zone, CLB took over 90 shots.... pénible.
but lets be positive. Habs were opportunistic, Primeau was good, Habs won.

Slaf's game, and the PP, improved when Slaf decided he needed to shoot more, rather than try to set up/defer to CC or Suzuki all the time.

while not necessarily being offensive threats, they've always been very responsible players in their own end.

I see wifi playing at the top (like Matheson), Guhle on the sideboard where Slaf is. 2 dmen on the 2nd unit so when the PP is over you're not in trouble.
