Watching someone on a bad (but physically safe) trip is kinda amusing.

Reminds me of that baseball writer a few years ago that said Vlady Jr. needs to show more discipline at the plate…..the dinner plate.

He lost 40lbs that off season..

No no, Barron is just not good enough on offense to be an offensive Dmen, he's not small but he's not physical and not good on defense.

He just has no chair at the NHL level.

it's still early, but it looks like he could become a 3rd pairing PP specialist. nothing more sadly. a bit like Mailloux in fact.

I think the offense is there, he big enough but his defense his so bad that its keeping him out of the NHL

the good news is this is the portion you can learn... I can still turn this around

He has shown flashes of being a decent offensive defenseman, but not consistently, at least not yet. He may eventually put up significant points, but the question mark over his defensive capabilities persist - bad positioning and way too turn overs.

He has an offensive upside bigger than Harris, Struble or WiFi, just not sure he ever gets there as a more complete player.

The question is do the Habs wait to see what he turns into or try to package him as part of a bigger deal, given there is likely to be interest in his offensive upside.

Speaking of terrible "expert"

its simply too early to tell, other than trying to generate clickbait

oh abbsolutely, I did say so in my previous post. it's still early. these kids could improve their play in the dzone. no reason to think they won't. for now they are both more on the offensive side of the puck. the big difference is physically, Mailloux is stronger. I have higher expectations for him tbh.

I think Wifi with his shot has a better better potential than him. Barron has played on the PP on every team he's played on, Xhekaj hasn't that's why I think there's more room for improvement, he's a decent passer, hard slapshot and his wrister always finds the net. Kinda like a Souray with better skating

For that, and other reasons, I do not see WiFi going anywhere int he short-term.

Only way I see is if Mailloux really pans out, because he does bring a little of what Xhekaj brings and some team is willing to trade a legit top 6 winger for Xhekaj than yeah I could see him being moved.
