His contract kicks in next season. If you are going to use seasons leading up to the new contract, why omit his 102 points from last season? Because you don't want to admit that he's a 100+ point player?

Also, you mock people who were using his on pace numbers early this season but now that he's on pace for less, you use it to no end.

Maybe we should try Myers up on the wing with Big Z there genius...

Petey to Center??

You have miles to go before you reach mediocre.

Be better.

Petey plays center and has the entirety of his career

Although itโ€™s not over yet, capturing 1st place and holding it for a long time is a huge step for this team regardless of complaining about certain individuals, getting Joshua and demko back healthy will help this team, that third line was dominant and an energy boost before Joshua went down.

Petey 1st 46games was 57pts a 1.38ppg pace then in the last 26 games since Jan 13th 22pts a whopping .85ppg pace. In a full season that is 69pt pace.

Missing Kuzmenko?

Missing top 6 wingers that's for sure. As terrible as Kuzmenko is, it looks like he's a better fit than players from the 4rth line. It's a obvious hint of what this team is short on.

As much of a great story Hogz is this season, one thing has been a constant. He has a burst of offense every time he's moved around that last for 3-5 games then fades off. It started when he was getting scratched. Comes back in and scores some goals... fades. Gets moved up, scores a few and fades. Dropped back down and scores a few and fades. Moved back up and repeat... It translates to some nice goal totals and a big step up in his career but is very inconsistent when it comes to production and a solution for the top 6 presently.

Put Lindholm with petey for a stretch and see if they can get some chemistry when Joshua comes back, they paid a lot to get him so put him in a spot to succeed.

Yes, but like I said... they are in bunches that follow and start with him being moved to a different line(or returning from a scratch) then fall off.

I would call it a short term solution but unless Petey plays better and consistently, it's hardly a solution even in the short term. Lack of top 6 players is only making it worse.

Maybe time to give Mikheyev a seat in the pressbox and put Podkolzin with Miller for a bit

Wasn't he back for the Avs game? Last night I didn't watch it was too damn boring so I turned the channel after 10 minutes but I am sure he was out there.

Just checked he didn't play against the AVs
