still didn't get my Vox mini amp thingy, Amazon says I should be getting it by tomorrow but I hope there won't be any (frank) ups with the shipping or whatever.

did you get that model you were looking at the other day?

I've always been intrigued by ayahuasca, I haven't tried it but I've heard so many stories about these incredible trips, it sounds like a very unique experience. some even say it had positive life-altering effects and helped them change their perspective on personal issues they were having.

but it's also very (frank)ing intense, I think the first phase consists of vomiting, before travelling to other planes and dimensions in your mind. and there's always the possibility of having a bad trip, and in this case I don't think you can just walk it off and convince yourself you're gonna be fine.

maybe a little joint is all I really needed after all lol...

I gotta see that band live at some point, their shows are probably awesome.

Saw them 3 times. 1 was great, the other good and there was just ok.

yeah, I think it's pretty automatic for anyone doing a trip on that poop, it seems like you can't avoid the vomiting at the beginning, which doesn't inspire me to try it that's for sure lol

those mega-churches in 'Murica should be getting even bigger now that they're banning TikTok, people need some form of brainwashing to get through everyday life.

either that or there'll be a massive exodus of 'Murican kids moving to Canada, since the app hasn't been banned here, well not yet at least.

I'm sure there are some good content creators on the platform that make videos that aren't completely mind-numbing for kids and that don't influence them in horrible ways, but there's so much unhinged and pathetic content on there that a ban might be the simplest and most logical thing to do.

it'll surely be replaced by some other poop app anyway.

I’m in love with my new ENGL Powerball 600 all tube amp head with the power soak to take it from 20W of Class A power down to 10, 5, 1 and 0watts for headphones or running DI.

And then my brand new Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister 40 all tube amp head with the same power soak options but from 40 watts and so many options and saving tones etc.

Crazy! I’m going to run each one through 1 2x12 EVH cabinets armed with Vintage 30’s and in white tolex.

So two of them side x side running through their own independent cabinet. Then I’ll run my homemade pedalboard (36”x18”) through the EGNL and then run an A/B switch between the two rigs to give me the ultimate tone flex ever imagined!!!

I believe the cancellation is predicated on the data rape and share. Mostly.

I know that the recent Ukrainian war has shown another side of this Chinese-based app. But that’s another brick in the wall for their defense……I don’t trust any of that poop. I’ve never had FaceBook or anything. Waste of time

tube amps are pretty (frank)ing cool. there's just something nostalgic and timeless about the sound that comes out of there.

edit: this technical talk is making me feel like a noob though, holy. I guess it makes sense that I don't have much knowledge about amps and pedals right now, I haven't shopped for anything like that in years lol. stupid apartment. can't wait for that mini amp though

I never buy the same thing twice! I have a Marshall Triple Super Lead as well. With the original tubes from the original purchase. I may get it hot-rodded as the model is discontinued.

This one is 60 watts and when I was in Calgary, in the studio, I rented the same amp but 100W. Mine killed it!! Mine had more bass and mids and sounded creamier rather than shrill.

Dude! I’m always here to field any questions you may have. I’m just a total nerd about all of this stuff. The ironic thing is that I toured the country twice with that Marshall and had next to nothing for effects. I believe the tone comes from your hands.

Now I have all of this poop and no projects on the go. But boy, am I ever (frank)ing ready!

I’m also up to 16 guitars, 9 amps and tons of pedals and gear. And a full drum set Mapex Armoury with 11 cymbals, double bass, 2 floor toms and shallow toms up top and in “Aqua Marine” colour!! 😍😍😍😍😍

damn. I'm just gonna pretend I'm not jealous whatsoever...

I'm guessing you know a lot of poop about recording, too? I might have a few questions about that eventually as I want to upgrade my setup to record at home.

there are gamers that do blindfolded speedruns of Mario 64, they complete the whole game just by sound. it's (frank)ing insane.

not surprised one bit. and yes that is exactly that, a speedrun. that's the only way to do it imo. it's much easier, otherwise it's impossible to know where you're at. and at that level you only want to beat you record.

well in this particular case they call it "speedruns" but I don't think they're rushing through the levels, it's the opposite. they have to slow down and listen to the various sounds during gameplay to determine where they are at in the level.

I can't imagine though the number of hours you have to spend just to practice and learn the audio cues of each level by heart... unless you're Rain Man or some poop and you're able to memorize everything at an insane rate through photographic memory.
