It appears anatomy is not part of the Saskatchewan education system?

Education won't help you survive the -40 nights.

Buddy you ever hear Mike Babcock speak? There's a reason we all sound like that.

Brooks had an interesting idea about offsides review in his column yesterday

he proposed once a defending team takes possession of the puck, like when it is a delayed penalty for example, then the offsides is no longer reviewable

I hate the offsides review more than anything, so I am all for that idea

I still think if more than 20 seconds has elapsed without the puck leaving the zone it's no longer relevant and shouldn't be reviewed.

That's interesting.
I still prefer that they make the effort to get the call right. But, IMO, there should be a 1 min. review time limit. If it's so close that you can't be handed a tablet with the video cued up already and make the decision in 60 seconds, then the linesman did his job well enough at live speed and the call should stand.

Then it becomes a judgment call. And NHL officials can't be trusted in judgment calls.

I mean this is a simple fix.

3 points for Regulation win. 2 points for an Over time win. 1 point for a shootout win. 1 point for an overtime loss. 0 points for shootout loss

- blacksheep1

Eh, doesn't solve the problem of different point values being assigned to regular season games that should be equal.

Per Arthur Staple:
Ryan Lindgren (lower) will miss a few weeks, league source says. Avoided a season-ending injury, should make a full recovery. #NYR

This may mean knee hypertension and not a tear.

How so? Regulation win now worth 1.5 times more than it currently is.

There's word today that #NYR defenseman Ryan Lindgren's injury is not as bad as some may have feared, it seems. He is expected to be out a few weeks, but he should make a full recovery. The Rangers have recalled D Brandon Scanlin from

What they should do is LTIR him. Have him the 10 games. comes back for the last 4. Create a little cap space wiggle room.

They can always retroactively ltir him but what wiggle room do they need they can already carry 23 players?

Not sure. But I know Jim said earlier, that tams are limited to call ups now until the season ends. And after last year where the didn't LTIR him and had to jump through hoops, I would say just do it. But idk, he could be back earlier.

That's right.
I was going to look it up, but I'm lazy. Didn't we have something like $42,000 in space last year?
