I think it depends how the transfer was done. If he gave the money to his friend, that's just a loan. If he paid the bookie directly...that gets into a gray area.

He signed 3M after scoring at a 25 goal 67 point pace. He is on a 47 point pace this year.

He took 2 consecutive 1 year 3M contracts.

You are also saying he deserves this money because of points, Domi is terrible defensively but makes up for it with scoring. So no. 47 points and bad defensive play does not earn you 4.2M.

Again at the absolute highest scale maybe he gets 3.5M-4M on a 1 year deal in Chicago, maybe. But them overpaying players like crazy is irrelevant. I just want players that want to be competitive anyways.
