Just so you know, Bill in interaction with Anti-lame, at the time posting under his alt account Black francis, publicly labeled and called him a fool. For good reason. If Bill knew the connection and was dealing with a family member of a long time employee of the Flyers. I doubt he would've gone that route. It takes a lot to get Bill to react in that manner.

Just horrendous coaching. The Flyers dominated the 3rd period. You're on the road, just put a hard earned point on the road against a top team in the bank. It's time to attack and go after the other point. His top offensive players and top line in Konecny, Frost and Tippett don't see the ice in OT. That's the problem with Tortorella. He defaults and favors defense too much. He overplays grinders.

Gotta agree. Hate that. It’s too cute.

What’s with Brad Shaw doing the post game interviews? Why not the coach? Such a strange chain of events the last few days.

I’ve defended Torts the last few days. But this type of crap is stupid. Can’t ask these guys to do their jobs if you won’t do yours.

I do remember Bill alluding to one of the posters. It may be a different one….I don’t keep score or search for previous comments like some. Just so we are clear….I have no affiliation with the team.

It's the opposite of leadership. We can disagree with his reasoning or his moves, but he should be up there owning his decisions. Something he supposedly demands from his "room".

Yes, I'm not a Torts hater but total bs move on his part. Post-game keeps saying we'll hear from John Tortorella....then we get Brad Shaw. Torts is the head coach and should be doing his job by talking to the media. I loved him when he chewed out the refs and refused to leave the bench, but this is the type of thing he does that ticks me off.

I didn't see the third period or overtime cause was called away, but to me it looks like this team plays FASTER without Coots in the lineup and running into his own teammates. Oink!

That's just not how he operates. He took Couturier out because he thinks that's better for the team. He's wrong but it's not for some purposeful attempt to make some kind of psychological ploy to get the team to band together. The team has been together all year.
- MJL

Torts is a complex guy. His mind games are always psychological and purposeful. He scratches Couturier because it’s better for the team today but he knows it’s polarizing and divisive. Yet he thinks he can get a bump in the short term with an emotional response to his actions.

All I said was there were those in the org that don’t think it’s a good look to disparage other players on the roster in an attempt to “stick up” for a player or try to prove some point when you’re paid by the team. And he had a temper tantrum. it is what it is.

I'll take the well earned point on the road against a really good team. But once again the Flyers were right there. I love what I am seeing from the Frost, Tippet and TK line, they looked dangerous every time they were on the ice. Also love Poehling in this game. But where they in OT? I hate this about Torts! My only nitpick is Farabee walks in all alone in OT and misses the net, that just can't happen; he has got to make Anderson make a save there. On the other end, Jarvis does not miss and that is the difference. This is why to me Farabee is an OK player, good with rebounds and tips around the net, but can't seem to score any other way. But overall, very happy with the Flyers effort and a much needed point in the standings.

Yes … do you expect anything else? He hasn’t said poop to the media since benching Couts and keeps having Shaw to clean up the questions.

I don't agree that's why he did it. His mind games are always psychological but he doesn't use it to divide. In a convoluted and screwed up way, he attempts to unite. He is not going to risk losing the team and the buy in that he has from them. They currently like him as a coach, just for some short term boost that isn't going to amount to anything.

I had no problem with him benching Coots. I probably wouldn’t have done it, but I don’t feel like it was as egregious as some have made it out to be. BUT, if you are going to do it, then be accountable to it.

And for the love of god, put some scorers on the ice in OT.

Farabee is not a player who predominantly scores with rebounds and tips around the net. Before his slump, he made play after play, racking up 5 on 5 points. To the point where he was top 5 in the league in 5 on 5 points at one point in time at his position. You're again trying to create an alternate universe to try and justify your flawed opinions. I agree he has to hit the net on that play. Tortorella's OT strategy continues to be horrendous.

I don’t know, does your uncle work for the flyers? I’m not sure I can trust your opinion unless he or a second cousin works for the team.
