I like Torts, but he is really looking like a chump when he sends Shaw out to do the post game presser! Combine that with not putting offensive players out in overtime is gonna really start pissing me off and he doesn't want that! Didn't he learn his lesson last year when that dumbass strategy of two defensemen in OT failed miserably? What a douche!

Detroit beats the Islanders. I'll say it again. I believe the Flyers are going to make the playoffs.

I believed since mid to late November.

I don’t know, does your uncle work for the flyers? I’m not sure I can trust your opinion unless he or a second cousin works for the team.

One member of my family worked in one of the concession stands at the Wells Fargo for a short period of time.

When Carolina scored Farabee, Laughts and York were out there, these are some of our offensive players. But where is Frost in 3 on 3.. it's just plain stupid to not have him out there with all that ice.

To me this sounds about as ridiculous as everyone on this board believing they can do a better coaching or management job to clean up this mess but it’s posted on here everyday.

The Flyers top line and 3 of their top offensive forwards in Konecny, Frost and Tippett did not see the ice in OT. Horrendous coaching.

Farabee is not a player who predominantly scores with rebounds and tips around the net. Before his slump, he made play after play, racking up 5 on 5 points. To the point where he was top 5 in the league in 5 on 5 points at one point in time at his position. You're again trying to create an alternate universe to try and justify your flawed opinions. I agree he has to hit the net on that play. Tortorella's OT strategy continues to be horrendous.
- MJL

Go watch all of Farabee's goals this year, and then come back once with your tail between your legs. Walks in all alone and misses the net .. the definition of an OK player.

They keep starting Poehling. I can live with starting Poehling or Laughton if they can take back possession and get as much offensive power on the ice as possible.

I don't think Torts did a pre-game today either. Probably because he does not want to answer questions about Couts .. well .. TOO EFF'N BAD TORTS! You want to make the tough decisions, be a man and face the music! To me Torts is really starting to regress now .. he needs to act his age.

Caps are the closest pursuer and they are about to lose Wilson to probably at least a 4 game suspension. Isles seem to be losing interest and I still wouldn't totally rule out the Devils. I say 94 points gets them in, so they probably need 15 points in their last 12 games. Just spitballin of course.

If it were me 3 on 3 and I need the point more than Carolina, F$%K defense, I am starting Frost, TK and Tippet and telling them to go win me the game right here.

We have nine more points than the Devils in the same amount of games. Atlantic dominating the wild card. Devils are toast.

Yup, the Flyers need to get 3rd or they are out, Tampa and Detroit will get the wildcards.

Again, you make yourself look like a fool. I've been watching Farabee play all season. You don't have a clue. You continue to look at one individual play, as small of a sample as can be and use hyperbole that missing the net on one shot is the definition of an OK player. You will never learn. Despite his slump, Farabee is still in the top 12 in the NHL in EV points for LW's. Only a few points less than stars such as Kaprizov and Mattherw Tkachuk

Who the hell needs a defenseman when you have the puck in their zone? I put those 3 out there and make Carolina play defense.

blah blah blah .. stop changing the subject. Go count how many goals Farabee has scored this year by shooting the puck, versus tip-ins, rebounds and open nets.

Every point I made was concerning Farabee. You're being stupid. Do your own work. This is just more of the same nonsense from you. When you don't favor a player, you invent fantasy. Similar to how you claim that goals that Frost assisted on didn't have anything to do with Frost. You're a complete clown

But the Wings have won 2 in a row. I think Detroit will beat out the 4th place Metro team.

It's still a step up from last year when he spent several games in the press box yukking it up with Briere while letting his assistants do his job the entire game. Yet another Flyers trend that nobody else follows. Maybe he will even give the same reason when he shows up for another press conference.

From the Athletic last year :

“I think I have (a) responsibility to my coaching staff, (to) help them develop,” he explained on Saturday morning. “I think we’re all trying to develop, just like the players are, I think, in these type of situations.”

Normally, Brad Shaw’s gameday duties are limited to managing the defensemen and the team’s penalty kill. But he served as Philadelphia’s de facto head coach on Thursday and Saturday, with Rocky Thompson (forwards, power play) expected to also lead the bench for “a couple” games and Darryl Williams (pre-scouting and assorted other duties) will get one game as well.
