yesss

you seem pretty good at finding these goal gifs, so if you find Reinbacher's it's worth posting imho... especially for a 1st goal in the AHL, it's a nice introduction.

yeah...seems he wasn't phased at all. Arriving in a new league in a team that's in a playoffs race must not be easy, especially at 19

he's a 5th overall pick, so we should have high expectations and ask of him that he makes some sort of impact, but yeah as you're saying it's gotta be overwhelming for him a bit at times, especially for a young dman.

so what better way of leaving an impression than by tying the game with a beauty lol

If everything goes to plan, our blue line shouldn't look too shabby in a few years.

I'm expecting HuGo to move some D's eventually to get us some help on offense.

Summer time should be interesting ... we have four 1st round picks in the next 2 drafts.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them traded/packaged for some help up front.

that's why I was mentionning Matheson. Hughes could be tempted to sell high and get something good in return. something he wouldn't get by trading Harris or Barron.
then he could turn around and sign another vet dman on July 1st to replace Matheson.

what kind of return do you think Matheson would fetch?

I know there would be interest for sure but I wonder if his current value isn't still higher for the habs than it would be on the trade market, since he's on a decent deal, and he's un ti-gars de chez nous who actually wants to play in MTL and support younger guys through their development.

would your only remaining veteran presence on the backend be Savard? I doubt it would be the ideal way to go...

yep, he's one of 2 vets on defense, and a local boy happy to be here. we all agree.
but if you want to trade a dman for help upfront.... you won't get anything of value unless you trade Matheson or Guhle. and Guhle is not going anywhere.
that leaves Matheson who like you were saying is on a good contract so he could fetch a good return imo, and I mean a legit top6 forward.
then you sign another vet dman on July first, a guy like Savard or Edmundson (just an example)... not necessarly a top dog. just a good vet.
