Leafs do well without Reilly also. So let’s say that, in the summer Marner is gone, Reilly and Brodie as well…….theres about $23Mil to spend! Anyways, Marner and Reilly aren’t going anywhere and Willy ate up the money we gain from losing Brodie, so that’s that! With the Leafs out 1st round, at least Tree will have lots of time to figure it out. A whole new supporting cast of bargain players to fill out the roster and roll the same dice again.

How is Bertuzzi at 5.5 million "a bargain"?

Are we not getting good play from Knies, Holmberg, Woll? All drafted by the leafs? McMann signed by the previous management team making an impact? Like this is what competitive teams need, which you cried about before not having. Now you're onto the bargain roster thing.

Oilers fans are probably saying the opposite.

Marner out

Oilers should win

Lose 6-2

I don't believe that Bertuzzi is playing tonight, so that would further handicap the Leafs. I wish that Keefe would play Connor Timmins tonight and see if he's as good against the Oilers. The guy can skate and his point shot is better than any other Leafs defenseman. So the prevailing thought is Keefe will put him in the pressbox and we won't see him the rest of the year.

I think Woll, and Knies are doing quite well as rookies. Knies has never played an NHL length season and he slowed down midseason. He's starting to pick it up again and he's moving in the right direction. Holmberg is meh! Good one game, not so good the next. McMann had a come to Jesus minute in the minors. He decided to go the Gary Roberts route and start taking care of his body. It elevated his game enough to get him to the NHL and it took a lucky break to keep him here. The hat-trick gave him the confidence to realize that he's good enough to stay in the league. Betuzzi will make or break his contract with what he achieves in the playoffs. Out in the first round, he either goes elsewhere or takes a 2 year deal around the $4.5 mark. If he lifts the team into the 3rd round, he gets closer to $6. I think Domi signs a $4M with term to stay at least 3 years. Of course, playoff performance will factor in.

We only need "meh" from Holmberg and Knies is just a rookie. The point is, he skates in the top 6, Holmberg goes up and down. Robertson is making the most of his limited minutes for the most part. Lots of good things from the Dubas era coming to fruition.

Bert and Domi I think have to perform in the playoffs to secure contracts. Especially Bert. It's what he was brought here for.

Furious….and curious (but only for you). The big green egg goes in the butt right?

I have literally never been so angry in my life as I am right this second typing this.

Take comfort in the fact that the Leafs management chose to let Hyman go instead of firing Brodie into the sun.

Brodie was great at the time.
Hyma n was meh.

Hopefully. As an antivaxxer his risk would be dramatically higher than sheep people.

Is it me, or does Big23 start a fight with at least one person every time he (I assume he), comes on here?

It’s a bit addictive, but helps us, at least, make decisions between one product over another. There are some surprises when you walk down the organic aisle.
