Quinn Hughes became just the 5th different American born NHL defenseman to score 80 or more points in a season, the first to do it was Brian Leetch in 95/96. Kids an absolute puck moving stud. - Pacificgem
It's truly amazing how many on here were talking poop up until this season. You know who you are.

Like I said the transtiton from haters to slurpers has been impressive. Truth be told I'm happy the club is doing well and if memory serves I did say last year they would easily make the PO's this season but the haters were all over it...
Love it. Can't make it up. |

2 important games vs LA and Vegas coming up. Could be a prelude to a first round matchup. Unless of course the Coilers continue their free fall.
DeSmith getting some much needed time in net, when’s the kid get a chance? |

True, you can't count Vegas as a test because half their top 6/top 4 is on LTIR right now. As per usual. |

True but you also can’t not count them. If the Canucks don’t take the Knights seriously it could bite them later if they play them 1st round. 2 wins vs them no matter who is playing is still crucial. |

Avs, Stars, Jets all good teams. It's going to be war to get to the finals this year.
The Flames were smart to sit this one out. |

You think a regular season game translates to what will happen in the playoffs? The 1st round in the playoffs will be the measuring stick. Ask Boston how much the regular season translates.
Playoff experience and a team upping their level of play once the postseason starts are factors. Health of the team also. We've seen time and time again once a team is in all bets are off.
What do the Canucks have for playoff experience? 1 time to the dance in the last 8 years and a lot of young players. Winning 1st in the division or 1st in the conference even more put extra pressure on a team to perform.
Can the Canucks 'up their game' in the playoffs? Can they get by that dreaded 1st round and beat a team that's been fighting for their lives all season just to get in and have been playing at that 'level' for probably weeks before the postseason starts?
Should be interesting.

Measuring stick time is over, there’s 11 games left in the regular season, we know exactly who and what the Canucks are at this point. They’re a very good hockey team, but like most teams, they can be inconsistent at times. |

Winning 1st in a division is a big bump. Have to take advantage of it in the 1st 2 games is the crux point. Being a good road team can be the difference for any team to close out a series. Don’t beat yourself with dumb penalties. Roster depth is a must. Make teams work hard for everything. Then a goalie can bring it home.
Odds of 1st place? Very good
Road team? Very solid
Penalties? The big challenge
Structure? Good to very good
Depth? Very good down the middle
Goalie? Clinches the deal
60min hockey is mandatory. |

So don’t worry? Be happy?
I’m sure that’s what Tocchet is telling them. |

Canucks have a great D with everyone healthy. They say that wins championships, but……
Goalie goes a long way, when’s Demko expected back?
