I can’t believe everyone making such a big stir about Guentzel. Madden asking Dubas the tough questions and Dubas sputtering all around them without answering any of them. That was entertaining. F Guentzel, he didn’t want to stay.

Sounds like Ponomarov is out long term. Won't be seeing him this year.

He's probably destined to be that guy that waiver free status works against next year.

Despite EVERYTHING, Sid continues to be, Sid. Astounding resilience despite what appeared to be a career ending injury vs the Craps. Seriously.

Be happy for the team accomplishments and especially Sid, boys. There will not be another like him in our lifetime. No. Way.

Jake=MR. Clutch.
However had ankle surgery and no longer in his prime?

Could be a factor IMHO. Maybe somebody on the Pens knows something we do not know?

Based on the link given that wasn't really the case. Way to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

A GM/President of a pro sports team doesn't give definitive answers during the season? Shocker!

Grinder's online persona has Matt Cooke ranked way higher than Jake in the all-time Penguins winger list.

It's awesome how Dubas is quoted as saying this about a great energetic 4th line and you don't relate it at all to Carter being out hahahah

"The change in the last stretch as our younger guys have come up is that there’s more youthful exuberance, and they’ve got more speed. It’s different. Last night, the group in the fourth line with Poulin, Gruden, and Puljujarvi gave our team a big boost. They gave our team a lot. (Also,) St. Ivany on the back end, those guys have great energy, they’re trying to prove themselves, and they’re very urgent in ways they go about their day-to-day.”

Also, I dont think the interview was as revelatory of Dubas being cowardly as you have suggested hahaa

I dont blame either side for wanting to look at the grass on the other side. I thought going into the season, the best case would be to sign Jake to a 5-6 year deal at around $9-10M/season. He rides out the Crosby era and then the Penguins trade him to a team to compete and start the rebuild.

The risk would be if Jake falls off at some point.

He also expects Pickering and Yager to push for a roster spot next season, same with Koivunen

That would be so awesome if they could all stick...or even just one or two of them.

A simple “hey thanks for letting me know Madden interviewed Dubas and actually asked real questions about where the teams heading”. Would suffice.

Cooke coaching in the ECHL. He would be perfect to replace Sullivan and turn this happy go lucky horse poop around.

It would be awesome if Sullivan allows them enough time to stick.
