Tocchet and the staff have done an excellent job so far this year to be sure. But like anything he and his staff are still learning. The Joshua injury was a real wrench in the system and he was over adapting a bit with too much line juggling. Many Coaches get lost in that mind set. The Demko injury hasn't helped either but it appears they are able to maintain a bit. Gonna be an interesting stretch coming up.

It’s what have you done lately especially with a 11.6m contract looming next year. It’s simply about he’s slumping & doesn’t get special treatment. He did say he wants to win & contributed to the hot start but has fallen off & not driving play or scoring. PP 3pts in 23 games.

True Story. I think the expectation based off last seasons (and first half of this seasons) pace would be having him somewhere around 110-115 points this year which obviously hasn't been the case. Still 9 games left but still considering how he has looked since the ASB he'll be lucky to get to 95. He wants to be paid like a 110 point player but we've only seen glimmers of that so far.

My beef is a high end contract & no PO’s or cups til this season. I realize there is the going rate thing for points but that’s overrated imo. Goals are more important. Team results & who leads the way get paid. Lastly idgaf about cap going up that’s a bs ploy by media.

It all doesn’t matter now & he should still keep earning his new big contract. Long slumps at that price doesn’t cut it. 11.6m will draw heat if he doesn’t score consistently & pick up his play on the PP all of the rest of his game is good.

We’ve already gone through that with Boeser but he had some real tough breaks etc.

Miky of late but since his last injury he hasn’t been the same.

Cannot have cap space used when it doesn’t return good value.
