But I heard they had a team meal with a turkey sacrifice (actual baby in a microwave) with cranberries (blood) and they all gave handjobs to Evander Kane because he is black or something. Amiright??

What most conspiracy theories have in common is that there normally is an element of truth to them. Whether you believe in God, Angels, Demons, etc. or not (or whether you choose to or not), Satanism as a religion is just as old and ritualized as any religion out there, including Islam, Catholicism or Judaism. It's not as "popular" as the others because to truly understand who Satan is, or at least what he represents, and still have the desire to walk through that door, your mental state isn't normal. Whether you're at the top of the scale of insane, desperate, just plain evil, as in Hitler-esque, or some combination of the above, the percentage of the population that it truly describes is miniscule.

His point about a distracted population is also a valid one. It's no secret that that most of the population, including myself and anyone here that posts on this website, would probably be more productive, in a better spot than we are financially, and possibly even happier if we spent less time consuming sports, media, etc. However, that's a choice we make, whether explicitly or not. There are people that recognize that, and take advantage of it, and they usually end up rich. It's also likely in their best interest that people like us stay "distracted" while they accumulate more wealth with the least amount of interference and that there are ways we can be unknowingly manipulated for others' gain. Does that make them all Satanists? Not likely. Could some of them be? Sure. I guess you could argue that to have that kind of focus and motivation might be a symptom of the desire to walk through the door I just referenced.

To tie it all up, it's absolutely possible that insert-hand-gesture-here had some sort of Satanic origin. That doesn't automatically mean it's being used intentionally. In fact, if the majority of the population is a distracted one, there's a very low likelihood that the actual persons using it even care what it represents, let alone understand it, just like many people who wear a gold cross aren't necessarily Christian. They just think it looks cool.

By the Party "protecting" democracy. Rich isn't it? Biden let off because he is old and incoherent for illegally holding classified documents (as a Senator it is illegal to take possession of classified documents), while a former President who can lawfully retain documents by merely delassifing them in his mind) is falsely accused of the same act. Trump not discl9sing the hush money was illegal because voters didn't have all the info to make a proper decision, while Briben Biden didn't disclose his income from hostile foreign governments for influence peddling. Now word he may issue an Executive Order to marshall Federal Employees to harvest ballots and be active politically. Biden ignoring his Constitutional Duties with open boarders claiming he has no power to fix it like Trump did. Uncontrolled spending resulting in inflation (food prices up 40% since 2019) and high interest rates resulting in the loss of the American Dream for many young would be home buyers...not to mention runaway National Debt. Now, Student Loan forgiveness that thrusts the loan debt on other Americans to pay off...all to buy votes from a constituent he has driven away from his base.

But Orange Man bad. Those who ignorantly voted against Trump voted for all this.

OK, I feel better now

A line break every once in a while wouldn't kill you.

You should be blaming hedge funds that go into towns and buy up every house on the market just to rent them out.

They've literally bought 27% of all single-family homes sold in America. And the worst part is they overbid, and pay in cash, juicing the prices even more for families who want to buy their own home.

And NIMBY bumholes who don't want housing built near them aren't helping the housing crunch any, either

Price of homes absolutely is insane for the reasons you identified.
Doesn't change the fact that high interest rates compound it.

I was on a roll, linebreaks get in the way.

Interest rates don't really mean anything if you have the cash to buy property outright. You could argue, though, that higher interest rates still benefit those investors because they thin out the competition.

Most young, first-time home buyers aren't buying with cash...if lucky, 20% down.

First time home buyers, if they meet the credit score criteria, are likely only putting down the minimum, which I believe is around 3%.

Better to keep as much of a nest egg as possible.

If the Sabres lose even one of the remaining 5 games in regulation, season over, right?

87 points won't get there?

We don’t have a supply issue at all.

Existing homes are more expensive then new builds

When the global economy was shutdown and your rights and freedoms were stripped over the flu they printed trillions of dollars of debt and inflated housing.

What they aren’t telling you is that we are currently in the second wave of inflation (much like the 1970’s where we had three waves). Look at Gold and Oil if you don’t believe me.

The only way to get inflation back down to 2-3% would be if Powell went full Volcker circa 1980-1981. If he did that though, it would cause a global depression.

Considering treasuries have broken out of a multi-decade downtrend, seems like the bond market imploding may do it for Powell.

Lucky enough, they can blame it on Trump in 12 months

If one can accumulate 20% to avoid PMI while also building their credit score it is a wise decision as well. Part of that equation is having rainy day funds for sure.

It was worth it to me and my wife to put the minimum down and deal with the PMI until we refinanced.

Fortunately, we paid a little extra every month or two for 3 years until we met the 80-20 requirement to get out of PMI.

Also helped that the home appreciated enough to get to the 80-20 point by year 3.

Lucky in multiple ways, for sure.

On the credit score topic, I had virtually none when we applied for a mortgage.

My car was paid off, and got rid of my only credit card more then a decade ago.

My wife had perfect credit, but mine made it a hellish approval experience.

Within 2 years of the loan starting, and also getting a credit card, my credit score vastly improved.

Lucky, again.

I had a slip.

It meant to read “Exisitng homes are more expensive then new builds”.

Inflation is very real, and we don’t have a housing supply problem.

Have you seen Fitz defend his UPL takes ?

Now try to convince billions of people that there is more to this world then meets the eye.

It would be met with skepticism, no doubt.

3 years ago I would have had the same reaction if someone went on the bender I went on over the past 48 hours.

Resistance to change and checking an ego out the door takes a lot of work. There is convenience in comfort and the status quo.

If people want to perceive me as a whack job, so be it.

The problem is you think you’re smarter than everyone else - you aren’t. You also think that such a system could be by design only.

It’s all as simple as starting a fire and watching it burn and dealing with the consequences.

You obviously have never taken a simple economics course. It’s literally just capitalism dude.

So I was chemtrail spotting earlier, and I saw a chupacabra with Shaq's Freemason ring, scaring a baby to death, then it sucked out it's blood, and spit it in Bill Gates' mouth.
