First goal, I agree, but that second goal was a terrific shot- similiar to Foerster against BOS
- Trox88

Good shot…but it seems like an awful lot of shots are going past him of late. Sometimes you need a good save on a good shot. The Flyers just aren’t getting those right now.

At this point, missing the playoffs could be more embarrassing than finishing last in the league...and cause more issues.

What issues? The dumb fans getting pissed because they think this team is good? They’ll still financially support middling team.

We may need Fedotov to play more often. I’d agree that Ersson hasn’t been making the big save. Not all on him.

Not like the Flyers have been camped out in the offensive zone the last 2 games. Having a real hard time getting thru the neutral zone. They have 3 3rd/4th line centers on the roster right now, creativity is lacking.

good for CHICAGO putting themselves in position for CB but the jokes on them, we have the STANDADRD
- THE BLACK HAND

They don't realize that its not talent and skill that wins. It's building culture and a standard. Flyers have fixed the room.

Flyers doubled up Chicago in scoring chances. 12-6. The issue is the Flyers have hit the net on 33% of their shot attempts. Flyers aren't finishing well and other teams are.

I agree with your point. On the second goal, Poehling gets stripped at the left half board leading to the Hawks break out. Feels like recently the forwards in the offensive zone have had some bad turnovers beside the accuracy issues. The elephant in the room is with a non existant PP any issues at even strength get magnified even more.

It’s not all on him. And I was certainly not blaming it all on him. But not only is he NOT making the big save, he’s letting in a soft goal a game.

Wrap around can’t go in. It just can’t. And he’s had issues with that before.

- Flyers1218

He made the initial save. Rebound went in. I'd like to see him tighter to the post. However, needs to get some help from the D. Zamula is caught flat footed. Let's his check get past him so Ginning who has back door responsibility has to stay at the strong side post which leaves the opening for the wrap around. It's man to man on the faceoff. Zamula, the guy you lined up next to on the boards, is your guy!

They lost a chance of getting a better player (or chance to get a top 5) that will affect the team.

The fact they are a surprise team of the year by using structure and hard work then end up choking like they look to basically wipes out ALL progress they made (or think they made). There is no bright side if they miss now.

Agreed. And I will never understand checking a player in to your own goalie.

The only way forwards sometimes is to take a step back 🤷‍♂️
