I think we know why no other team allowed Tinordi 40 plus starts in teh NHL, but until they find a bruiser for their back line he is here.

I think Bedsy has now tried every junior attack move he has in the NHL and now knows how he adapts.
Just imagine if he had a winger who could finish at an elite level.
His current wing has 16 goals.

I don't think the Blackhawks can ignore that kid is both playmaker and shooter and weapons on the flanks will only make him more dangerous.

And why it took to age 31 to get close to 200 games. He sucks. The only bruising he does is to his own goalies.

After making a play at his own blue line that most coaches would bench him, Anderson puts the game away. That is hockey I guess

Love it --- Jones so married to the push em back entry - wasn't there and he ended up carrying it in to the zone -so the entry ended working despite itself ... without the cliche'd push em back entry.

You’d think the team in white was in 3rd in their division.

44’s going to be a nice addition going forward.

Wiz said that our top drafted prospects aren’t ready - too green - but they are progressing and look to become NHL players. Not sure though what their ceiling could be.

I believe him

I believe therefore that the most likely prospect to make our team next year is not going to be our first selection unless it is only one of only a few players

Obviously Celebrini would start in the NHL. After that it is a slight possibility for the others to be on an opening night roster. They really would benefit with development elsewhere before gracing NHL ponds

Oh maybe you think Catton or Eiserman ir a couple dmen suit up. Well maybe but I wouldn’t rush anyone

- Jhawk59

I dunno but I think depending upon who gets that first overall, I think there is enough evidence to let Celebrini percolate another year at BU.
It all depends upon the team luck enough to select first overall.
The hawks? They would welcome him NOW in 2024-25.

I just the k this isn't Bedard and the kid can take as much time as needed to make sure he isn't in over his head witnanother year of development.
He ain't Bebard.

Every day we get closer to the playoff, the lottery and the draft, I keep liking that Tampa pick with hopes they poop the bed in the playoffs...

Lol - I know ... I was thinking that too .... buy stock in barf bags .... bag skate coming up in Philly .... book it.

Also ... about a 30 second delay between broadcast stream and over there .... I guess that's what sending it halfway around the world does ...

Kaiser was knocking guys off the puck all night. He can also skate away from guy. Something the bum picked #7 will never be able to do.

Celebrini put up unreal numbers as a Freshman. He will go pro. Especially if they win the title. I am hoping KD has the balls to attach Korbustski to that TB's 1st and move up to get a D-man who can provide offense from the back end.

Its lacking from the D-prospects aside from Rinzel.

Soda played a good game, that shorthanded save on Philly in the third was a big one, sometimes when you make the save and not how many determines the outcome of the game. Crawford was a big time goalie at crucial times in the game, clutch.

I think he's an absolut thinker, he didn't like the draft pick so he has no chance to be a pro.

55 had a quiet 20 minute night? Usually if a dman has quiet night that's a good thing.

Korchinski played really good tonight

Kaiser really good night, i hope he keeps getting better, be a nice problem to have

Slaggert with another nice game.

Raddysh with a solid defensive effort

Reichel another nice game.

Nice win by Soda

I'm just accepting the fact we will be in the 3rd draft slot again since the Ducks can't win anymore

Been pretty good to see Rockford on a roll lately and Commesso has been (I think) playing well in this second half of the season.

Just came here to say we are only 3 points behind the Ducks for 3rd slot and TB is climbing in the standings.

Ducks did drop over 10 games at the end of last year, they are capable to effectively manage their draft position

Soderblom is tracking the thing really well. He has a chance for a decent game vs a hungry PHI club fighting for a playoff spot....... Any thoughts on Bedard moved to wing with D!ckenson playing center?
- Mr Ricochet

First time as an NHLer I thought Soderblom handled the speed of the game. You could see it early in his tracking, which allowed him to be in position on time with minimal lunging which meant he was in balance and square to most pucks which reduced rebounds. ..... Nice effort by him and especially so coming off a horrid game. Gotta give this player props for his toughness between the ears.

Interesting question you ask about Bedard to wing. I like anything that reduces the 18 yr old's defensive workload and reduces the harm to his club while he's floating around at the blueline in his zone looking for someone to win a puck and get it to him. Add it takes him away from the slot where the big boys mean business.

First.

Getting back to the Parekh discussion from last blog. Assuming the Hawks don't get the 1st pick, wow does KD and staff have a tough decision to make. 1st decision offense or defense? 2nd decision if offense - big C like Lindstrom or prolific scorer like Demidov or Eiserman. 2nd decision if defense - All around RD like Levshunov or offensive machine RD Parekh, or a good LD like D!ckenson. Of course if they're picking 3 or 4 the decision will be easier since a couple of the above will probably be off the board.

- boilermaker100

What makes it tough IMO is if they take Lindstrom they are passing on a guy like Eiserman who should challenge for 50 goals for quite a few yrs, or Parekh who could challenge a pt per game in the Bigs, or D!ckenson who is a big player with elite skating who seems to control a game like a Shea Weber, or Levshinov who is a right shot who looks like a young Doughty. Or they grab one of those players and pass on a 6ft 3in power centerman who can legit skate and play heavy with plus hands in Lindstrom..... Watched the 2nd and 3rd periods of Medicine Hat tonight and Lindstrom was just running guys over, was immovable as the net front guy on the PP and was money at the dot.

And that's not counting the Cossacks in Siliyev or Demidov I hope they pass on.

Yep, big decision to make but KD and Crew will end up with a legit blue chipper no matter which way they go.

First off, Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it.

It would be nice to get two of these "blue chippers" in the draft. I posted something in an earlier blog along the lines of Elbow's post above about packaging the TB pick and a prospect like Korchinski to move up into the top 8 or 9. Just a hypothetical and if the chips fall properly, say the Hawks take a forward with their own pick, the two Russians are taken and someone like D!ckinson or Parekh is available at 8 or 9. If in the Hawks' eyes, one of these two grades out better than KK do they make that trade? The problem also lies with the other GM's perception of KK's value and whether they want to forgo the opportunity of drafting whoever's available at their slot. Maybe to someone else, Reichel, DelMastro or Kaiser is a better get than Korchinski. Mostly everyone here will probably be amenable to moving them instead. (Or flip the above scenario around and the Hawks take a D like Levshunov earlier and Lindstrom or Eiserman is available at 8 or 9.)

Does it set back the rebuild by moving Korchinski? I think not. I have a feeling that KK is destined for some AHL time next year. So while D!ckinson or Parekh are in Juniors next year, none of these players will be with the parent club for the whole season. If the two Juniors are worth their salt, maybe they make the jump to the NHL the following year like KK did this season. The idea is to obtain better prospects.

Who thinks KFC will make a big splash at the draft? He was relatively quiet last draft, but he got Bedard which was the big windfall and didn't really have to make any big moves. (But he did try to move up from 19.) Two drafts ago he was an active trader. So he id definitely one willing to make trades. I think we'll see him active at this draft.

That's ok. We'll still end up with a really good player. If we get 1st overall Celebrini would be great, but if not I'm warming to one of the RHD (Levshunov or Parekh).

Was trying to watch some of the BU vs MN game last night but it was a rare entertaining Hawk game so I stuck with that one. Was a solid game up and down the lineup. I'll add Kurashev to your list.
