bro, I roomed with TJ in my early 20's, you wouldn't have believed the toxicity he caused
he would power through Burger King and/or White castles and then blow down a whole gay mens bar every night - jimbro83

Seriously? Between Cherepanov passing away and Sauer having his career ended by NFL style shoulder pads, posting cheat where either is referenced is still way too soon for me. I see I missed a joyful day Jerez |

I agree with that. Both do fall into the what might have been category just on vastly different levels. |

We all agree that Miller should be paired with Schneider. Analytics doesn’t agree however!?
From vince m
“Something discussed in the story is that Miller-Trouba pair actually grades out slightly better than Miller-Schneider.
79-8
GA/60: 2.44
xGF: 47.7%
79-4
GA/60: 2.8
xGF: 46%” |

The sample size is far too small. Also have to consider the situation that pairing is put in when it does occur. It means theyre a man down, it means the D bench is likely shortened, it means things are being coached on the go. Give them a training camp and full season to play together, Id bet those metrics are different. |

You know whats not debateable? Results. 79/4 were 9-2 playing together through one of the toughest stretches of the season.
Blues, Devils, Canes, Isles, Pens, Bruins, Panthers, Flyers, Avs… all wins (exception being Bolts and Jets). All 11 teams that were played are playoff bound or teams fighting for playoffs.

I am trying to subtly make this point. WE ALL THINK 79-4 is the wsy to go. Analytics got it wrong. Sample size is certainly one of the reasons in our opinions |

Perhaps the 3 analytics guys the Rangers employ full time have different stats then the internet guys |

I'm going to say something hat I just posted on twitter.
All this talk about sitting Trouba, Goodrow, Vesey, etc is useless. Whining about it like pissing in the wind. None of us are privy to conversations between coach and players. Trouba is the captain of this hockey team, The coach, the captain and the team are going to have meetings, discussions and will try and correct the issues. The players in that locker room LOVE Trouba. Sitting him could have other adverse effects on the team. Also, the playoff rotation will be between Rempe, Brodszinski and Cuylle. A career AHLer, a sideshow who will be spotted depending on game, series and opponent and a rookie who has slowed down significantly probably bc he hasn't played this much hockey in his life.
