Removing graves and replacing him with literally anybody but to have Poj, Shea, st ivany actually holding things down is huge.

Graves out helps, but also the 2nd line has been great. St. Ivany is also a huge upgrade ... and of course just rolling with Ned every night.

Have to sign Ned to an extension, then trade Jarry. Really seems like they have a lot less to do in the off season than expected. All of sudden if you go out and get a true 1LW, you've got a solid top 6.

DOC made several small plays that were big in this game. He's playing great hockey at both ends. St. Ivany again was really solid. Love that we have some kids getting a chance to shine.

It's funny that DOC is way closer to the player Grinder thinks Jeff Carter is than the actual Jeff Carter. Just smart plays all over the ice.

I am not used to the Penguins being bumped for the Pirates. Missed recording the entire first period, but a thrilling victory. Just dragging it out and giving us a little hope, but I love it.

Haha. No. DOC played well last night, but he’s still just the vanilla guy he’s always going to be.

DOC was great on the PK. You might want to switch to an "it's amazing how much DOC's learned from Carter" narrative as it may be more sustainable.

The Caps took it to us in the first, but their goalie was bad and Ned was great, so we withstood that and then we played great the rest of the game.

That’s fine if he’s a “vanilla” player. DOC is only making 900k for what he’s provided. Having players contribute how he does at only 900k is a recipe for being a contender.

I don’t think anyone pushes him to be better. I’m sure Carters helped him out on the PK and stuff, but the coaching staff should be pushing him to be more physical, better in the corners. The hands thing is kind of you either have it or not, he has no shot though that can be developed. If anything Sullivan’s failed him.

WTF is happening? We're playing smart, good D, physical ... where tf did this come from?
- MickV

It came from Graves being out of the lineup lol

Lightning have been propped up by their elite PP all season. If the Pens can stay out of the box, they'll have a chance. Their 5v5 play has been average all season long.

I see the same tandem coming back 100%
2nd and 3rd line seem to be doing well right now.

1 - Dumping graves
2 - 1LW
3 - good 4L centre
4 - depth

Left wing is pretty hurting for ufa’s. Mantha, bertuzzi, duclair, and probably best player available is mittlestadt. Stamkos and Jake I just don’t see happening. All younger kids who put up 15+ will be resigned by their teams I’m sure.

PK was really good last night even if we do go to the box. We just might have the stuff.

Yesterday was huge. I just can’t let Sid letting this go after getting the job done yesterday in a do or die.

Dubas needs to work a hockey trade. Free agency is where hopes and dreams go to die.

Yeah I wouldn’t want to be the gm to give Reinhardt his next contract.

Ned and the 2nd line won the game. The rest of the team got caved pretty good, but we've been on the opposite end of that all season, so I'll take it.

I've wanted the Pens to go over Duclair for the last like 5 years. Dude is exactly what they need. Plays hard, goes to the net, scores goals, and fast af. He's the perfect 3LW that can bump up if needed.
