I had read that the other Abby goalie, Tolopilo, had possibly passed him on the depth charts... so maybe they might consider Silovs up here and Tolopilo getting more reps down there. Canucks always seem to have solid goaltenders #IanClarkEffect
- NewYorkNuck

Not sure he ha passed him. Silovs has more starts. They seem to be a 1A 1B combo. Silovs has proven himself at the Worlds and his NHL stats are better than his AHL.

As you said goaltending seems to be a non issue.

Raty seems to be getting some traction. Putting up point regularly now which is a good sign.

Sasson also putting up good numbers.

I still think Silovs is the heir apparent and will be the backup next year to Demko.
Sign a vet to play with Topolio for Abby.

Yeah. It’s nice to see some depth in Abby.
Will be interesting to see the battle for forward spots next year.

That trade tree is getting rather convoluted now...???

Horvat, 2nd round pick for...

Hronek, Ty Mueller, Zadorov & Raty

Too early to say for me, but if Hronek and Z don't sign then it will be less impressive or maybe not if they get a good return for Hronek.

I wonder if they look at him to back up next year. He has been decent in every game a a Canuck (VAN).

- VANTEL

Pods would have scored if he didn’t get tackled he looked pretty strong on that play.

I don't know the future, but to this date, it's been a great trade.

102 points, and counting, division title, playoffs....there's not much to complain about after almost a decade of losing, even though some will find a reason.

Do you think I am complaining?

I was just stating a well known fact that most trades take a couple of years to determine if they are good or not.

If Canucks go out in the first round and Z walks along with Lindholm then it is an underwhelming set of trades. If they win the cup then it was a great move. As I said too early to tell.

Since the ASG Canucks have not been a dominant team. They had a huge start and it is paying dividends but it does come down to how they finish.

It was a very entertaining first half of the year but the second part I am starting to not bother viewing again. Hopefully it will pick up again.

- Petey not being a 100 point player making 11.6 next season even though he only makes 7.75 right now. (THIS IS SARCASM!)

- Demko still injured and might not be himself for the playoffs.

- Offense having completely dried up after having been a major factor as to why we're are where we are.

- Major letdowns against Vegas, LA and having terrible 3rd periods where they give up leads or get outscored to lose winnable games.

Be happy sure, but they aren't exactly going into the playoffs firing on all cylinders, that's a concern.

No, that wasn't directed at you, when I say things like that I'm usually referring to Reuby, for two reasons. Because we like to bust each others balls, because we can both take it, and because he's usually wrong.

Yes...I realize things could always be better, however, given where we were just two seasons ago, I'm grateful we were able to watch a lot of winning hockey this year from the Canucks. I want them to win a Cup, no question, but my expectations are realistic, they will need a lot of luck and great play to make that happen. I'm just enjoying the ride.

I never said I'm ungrateful for it, RT deserves the Jack Adams considering that the team was only forecast to be a Wildcard contending team and no one expected them to flirt with potentially winning the President's Trophy for most of the season (I think Dallas or the Rangers have a lock on that) and for sure winning the division. Hughes should win the Norris going away and get consideration for the Hart and all.

It’s a weird season, where they’ve exceeded expectations greatly. But we can all see the holes in their game and concerns with some of our most important players slumping at the wrong time.

All adds up to low likelihood of going deep in the playoffs. Which is fine really, but some seem to take it to heart.

This year is a fantastic step in the right direction.

Oilers decided they don't want 1st in the division. Better to go in as an underdog with less pressure.

Weird. A certain someone brought all these points up 6 weeks ago.

Thanks York pot pie. Missed the last couple games to watch the WHL playoffs and your recaps have been fantastic to help me catch up.

I just popped in to tell Lordy and his lame Oiler trolls to suck it, suck it, and suck it.

You suck it.
