At the beginning of the season I predicted the Flyers would be a bottom 10, somewhere in the 5-10 range.

For a good chunk of the season it looked like I was wrong. Flyers had a good goalie tandem, returning vets were contributing, Walker was a stud.

Now that I look back did they do things that contributed to the possibility of getting a top 10 pick. This is sarcasm but has some truths.

1. Flyers knew what was going on with Hart and never addressed who would share the net Errson. They could have picked up Raanta and carried 3 goalies when Fedotov came over.

2. Played key vets like Coots, Sanheim and York was too much and made them a shell of themselves toward the end of the season.

3. Played vets like ND, Staal and Atkinson way too much which actually hurt the team.

4. In OT, Torts played players that he should not of which led to losses.

5. Torts benched players for games and periods.

The Flyers would have a top 10 pick if wasn't for 3 teams that are surprisingly bad this season.

I would not have predicted Seattle to be so bad, they took a huge step back.
I thought Calgary would be a middle of the pack team.
The Devils just bombed.

If people wanted to watch hockey with no hitting, pro beach hockey would still be a thing

I would rather watch hockey with no hitting than hitting with no hockey. That is what you get with ND, Seeler and Hathaway.....1 pile of horsepoop and 2 of the most vanilla players ever....

I like a Hathaway on the 4th line providing he’s the least talented player on the team. IMO he’s effective in a limited role. Certainly wouldn’t pay near what he’s being paid to do it

Seeler is a solid 3rd pair. No qualms.

That's the issue with the Flyers. They have players elevated in roles they shouldn't be in. Two reasons for that. One, the lack of elite talent. Two, the coaches preference for certain types of players. The latter will never change as long as Tortorella is the coach.

Tortorella has his team in 21st place in a 32 team league with 4 games to play.

He was the hands down winner of the Jack Adams last year and a finalist this year.

Konecny, Tippett and Farabee are all bona fide top 6 wingers.

I truly believe Foerster is on his way there. They have Michkov coming. Trading TK should be the move that is made.

In all honesty though he provides the public buffoonery that Hilfrety, Jonesy, and a loud segment of the fanbase want. If you look at the Stanley cup winning teams over the last 20 years. The Flyers would never intentionally go through what those teams did in order to win the Stanley cup.

They prefer to put on a show, rather than win.

I agree, Foerster is a future top 6 winger.

Well, I do have to comment on this. You're wrong!! Torts wasn't brought here to put on a show. He was brought here to change the locker room and get rid of the country club atmosphere. Anyone with 2 braincells to rub together knows this, but please, continue on with your loser friend BH. Again, good day chumps!

I’m a believer in farabee and his game. I’m not sure what happened in the 2nd half, perhaps there’s an injury there. I have no worries about the contract
- Just5

I don't think we will have to worry about it after he is traded in the offseason.
