Espn did their hart trophy candidates last night. They were praising crosby for the award and not even one mention of Panarin
- TPC

Gonna be hysterical when he finished ahead of Pannarin in voting.

Rationally- go to NHL stats.com and you will see that their counting stats ( kreider and Zib) are almost identical in terms of BOTH 5 x 5 and PP and like Tony said- very close to historical averages. and to my eyes and Tjs he is fine. Certainly not his best but a long way from a poor season
- Greschnergy#4

He has been better lately and I acknowledged that. Its a great sign going into the playoffs. If you think 5v5 Zib the majority of this year is the same as the Zib of the last 3 years...Well, ok

If Zib had been better 5 on 5 this year we'd may be first overall right now....

oh wait

I think it’s meant to go to a player who’s not usually recognized with accolades and highlights night in and night out but has played their asses off all season

Trocheck is Callahan lite. I understand why he got it. He blocks hots, hits, good on faceoffs.
- blacksheep1

Trocheck is far more talented offensively than Callahan could ever have dreamt of being. Cally was like if lindgren was a forward

So any one else a little surprised Panarin didn't get the award. I mean the season he is having, holy poop.

Trochek also having a great season so he deserved it as well.

- mdw7413

I always think Lindgren should win it just because of what he goes through, but I was happy to see Trocheck win it. He could be the most underpaid player in the NHL. Hyman is up there

Panarin is gonna win Team MVP, I like Trocheck getting the McDonald
- jimbro83

Yeah, I was fine he does so much. Part of the reason the PK is so good. That makes sense the mvp

the problem with your analytic are the assumptions behind them. I will stick to rooting, watching and traditional counting stats.

Yes it does. Here is why. Who has more name recognition? Sidney Crosby.

What does that have to do with me being concerned going into the playoffs, if that line wasnt going?

I mean come Jim, you have been around enough and have watched enough hockey to know we might be in serious trouble if only Panarins line was going in the playoffs.

this Rangers team has 272 goals scored and is going to finish with it's most goals scored overall since 1994

the 2014 team the finals only scored 218 goals total for the season

Kucherov should be the MVP. I despise everything TB, but what he does for that team is nuts. Something like 50.6% (as of a week or two ago) of their goals he’s had a point on. They simply aren’t a playoff team without him

I have much more confidence that this team can beat any team then I did in the ‘14 team.

Yea I thought you tried to say “can’t say I disagree” and figured there was a typo. Either way it was a joke. I adore you
- picklerick

My style of writing seems to lean toward being read as angry!! I was making a joke by saying what I did. All good here, man!
I try to wipe the slate clean after every conversation, no matter who is involved. Sometimes I can't take the negativity and blow up, but I'm rather mercurial that way. It's vented and gone quickly.
I haven't had a full-on, lasting dislike for anyone here since we saw the end of Dundee.

Honestly they could get out shot 50-1 every game in the playoffs and look awful. As long as the one shot goes in and they win is all I care. Just survive and advance lol

I was joking man. It's a typo, it's fine. I have them all the time.
- blacksheep1

No, it wasn't. I always correct my typos. Too OCD to do otherwise.
