Dear Sir,

I note your continued enthusiasm for intellectual interaction with me. Regrettably, I must once again abstain for the following reasons.

1. You have yet again failed to demonstrate the awareness of the distinction between "you are" and 'your'.

2. You have yet to provide me with verifiable proof of your vasectomy performed because of your acceptance that you are a reproductive hazard for the spread of stupidity.

Once those minor issues have been corrected, I will be delighted to discuss your very interesting claim that empirically verified opinions are in fact empirically verified opinions.

Yours in regret,

pt

That’s about all you have is to complain about spelling etiquette. The fact is you don’t know jack about the real world. Stay in your fantasy land and pray it never gets real in the streets. You would be begging for my help.
It wouldn’t happen.
Your insults don’t mean jack to me so nice try. Perhaps you would be better to correct your intellectual misgivings rather than pretend your some scholar that history would hold favorable.

The Standard isn't fully in place yet.

Once he gets all the players he doesn't like flushed out and properly brainwashes their replacements, he'll head upstairs.

- Tomahawk

They can say he’s not going anywhere but things can change quickly. A slow start next year with a feeble player buy in could send him up before he gets his way. His power could be muted.

It’s not true when he implies O and economists turned the economy around. Bankers and corporations run the world. Economists and media are the useful idiots that parrot what the bankers and corporations tell them to say.

This is indeed not the place for such discussion. I am very aware of his many failures, including many avoidable ones.

But that was not what your statement was though. You said he accomplished nothing in absolute terms, not that he underachieved relative to promises.

I am very sorry that you consider the two achievements I spoke of as part of empty advertising. I will simply say the non-neanderthal world disagrees with you and leave it at that.

I said ALMOST nothing which is true. Even the good he did do which he did for sure was not close to what was campaigned on. The things you cited were a shell of the change anyone was looking for. Watered down half steps. And not totally or even remotely by his own fault either but the example still stands

I reread what I wrote. I was wrong. See mjl it’s easy to admit it. I did in fact say “actually doing nothing”. I should’ve said doing ALMOST nothing my bad

I wouldn’t have traded him. At least until next year. I thought the argument was flawed that they needed to do it before it got out ? Why ? If he continued on this path I don’t think his value would have dropped. No they didn’t get fair market. All that said (frank) that kid.
- landros 2

Yeah “before it got out” wtf does that even mean? We’re flyers afraid someone was gonna go beat him up? Murder him? Players have beef all the time. Would people have been pissed? Sure. And when he scored first goal they’d all be on their feet cheering.

My first thought too was (frank) him but after thinking about it philly definitely (frank)ed themselves there. Not to mention now if a prospect doesn’t want to play in Philly they have idea they can just pull cg crap and get out. The smart move would’ve been to say to kids agent listen we are trying to reach out to him but your client is being a Richard so guess what. Tell him to enjoy his 4 years in college.

Guarantee he’d have meet with them then.

To be fair to pt i did say actually no change. I should’ve said almost no change. Although his examples are at best giving praise when shouldn’t and to wrong person if any. But the example still stands for the context it was used for

My point is that O didn’t build that(economy). The ACA is a mixed bag but not good for me. Government shouldn’t be involved in health care. Let the free market prevail. It’s still not cheap, high deductibles, higher taxes and you can get it cheaper on the open market. The ACA is no great shakes.

The question is how soon until the Flyers fan base figures it out? I figure a couple of seasons until they turn again. How easily they are appeased. Speaking of brainwashed.
- MJL

I think a long losing streak and he will be canned mid season next year. This is a fickle fan base as we all know.

Living in your head rent free.

Just to show that as usual, you have no clue. Recent examples of when I admitted that I was wrong was when I predicted the Flyers would win the Columbus game and when I predicted with about 8-10 games left that I thought the Flyers were going to make the playoffs. Just another example of how you don't have the facts when you call me out.

That’s is so true about the Flyers allowing the kid to dictate his terms….has set a very dangerous precedent. If I were DB I would have of played it like Bob Clarke.

Drat! And I was waiting for the Babcock announcement.

Better chance that Carter Hart returns to the NHL then Mike Babcock….ok I’ll hedge…odds are about the same.

So predictable!! I knew I'd draw in the GNAT with that comment. How does it feel being totally owned and having some dude living in your head rent free 24/7/365? LOSER!!

Some interesting stats from this season. The Flyers are top 10 in the league in high danger chances generated and are top 10 in limiting high danger chances from their opponents. The problem is the Flyers have only 79 high danger goals which puts them 21st in the league. As bad as the goaltending has been lately the Flyers are still 8th in the league in high danger goals against. Add to this the worst PP in the league and one can conclude what we already know, the Flyers can't finish! It's not the archaic system that is the problem, it's mostly the ability of the players on the ice. IMO, it's time for Briere to stop hoping things will click with some players and really start revamping this roster. That means saying goodbye to players like Laughton, Atkinson, Farabee, and yes, even TK if his salary demands are too high. Teams need players like Poehling, Cates and Hathaway in their botton 6 so I am fine with them staying, but the Flyers need more skill in their top 6, and true 1C to bring it all together.

I agree completely. The only problem would be after year 2 the league would have known there was something wrong and if the Flyers had waited it out, they not only would have wasted 3 years but also got nothing once his college career was over. So there is the trade-off.

You don't have the common sense to realize that if you did that with the sole purpose of getting a reaction from black hand, then it is you that is being owned. You instigated it. Meaning he is living in your head.

The problem will end up being that the players who CAN finish are not Torts type players. That is where it will come to a head.

so I bet my dad at the beginning of the season. I bet the Flyers would miss the playoffs by 6 points, 100 of scratch offs on the line. Now this should get them to win out. I am kind of torn, hoping they miss by 6 or winning. I won't lie, i enjoyed the season, even though I preferred a high pick scenario, the season was fun, until recently. Now, miss by six and slide into the 10 spot.
