Exchange the words "a video of Panarin scoring a playoff overtime series winning goal (I apologize it was on a powerplay)" with the words "analytic charts with absolutely no commentary" and the statement would remain true.
Why is one ok and the other isn't?

hey, you know the Martin St Louis overtime goal was even strength that one should definitely still count

Triggered me?? WTF is wrong with you??? LOL

I just said I didnt start to jump up and down as if he just scored it!!!

Jeez that was 2 years ago. To get excited from something 2 years ago is kinda mental.

- Brukie

To be fair, you stated he hasn’t done much in the playoffs since he got here. Jimmy posted something proving he has. Why aren’t you crushing Zibanejad for the playoffs?

Orrrrrrr…maybe try to believe in our guys for once that ultimately what Jimmy wants. I wouldn’t mind it myself.

You were gung ho all regular season long too lol have the same belief will ya

I just liked putting up that Panarin video because it's from the seats and it's cool and its not from the telecast, but as usual even something like that brings the firestorm these days on this page

I just think this team is different. New coach. More motivated players. Just a better outlook imo

Those do look like the usual seats

I mean you and I can disagree Brukie and not act like unhinged lunatics. Some people can't. The internet is an incapacity of common sense. None of what you said is wrong or bad. Some skin has become thin.

Read back a few posts TJ, I still believe in this team and its funny I did mention Mika. LOL

Your brother asked if I still get excited from seeing that Playoff winner, I said no and said if he had played well during that series, there wouldnt have been a need for game 7.

My statement got things rolling.

You’ve been going on and on about him not doing anything, when he’s literally the only one who won us a series lol

Whatevs man. I’m not fighting, I’ll try to be peacemaker but it goes nowhere generally

Last night impressed me. After the first period it looked like it could be an 8-0 loss. But the complete opposite happen. They were far and away the better team for the last 40 minutes. People will focus on the first 20 because it’s how they are, but you had expect the Islanders coming out strong. Bottom line, if that game went on for another 5-10 minutes, Rangers were tying it. To do that vs a desperate team is impressive no matter how you look at it.

Rangers will sure be motivated to kick their ass Saturday after the late hit on Trocheck and that fact they dominated the game after a bad first period

Nothing about that game has me worried expect for potential injuries

- Slimtj100

If they have clinched the division, Rempe will be in the lineup

You each have differing views. They are not mutually exclusive. When I write, I have to take off my blinders. Trust me, I bleed Rangers red white and blue. I am also aware if Panarin and/or Zib struggle in the post season, that proves the narrative on each was accurate.

two of those losses in the Penguins series the Rangers gave up 7 goals and Shesty was pulled, I don't think Panarin could have personally prevented that series from going 7 games

but anyway, they won the next series vs Carolina despite it going 7

I seriously dont understand what anything in the past has to do with what happens starting April 20th good or bad

it just doesn't make one bit of difference either way

The prior narrative is out. If either struggle it will be viewed as validating and proving that narrative. Each year is separate but we all know, that’s not how it will be viewed

Of course not.

It's why when we discuss Panrin in the playoff you have to view it by year. for '22 16 points in 20 games is fine. Brukie pointing that only half those points came at 5 on 5 is also a concern, considering the majority of every NHL game is played at 5 on 5. You (by you I mean in general) can complain about hat fact being pointed out, but it's a valid concern.

In '23 playoffs Panarin was bad. As was most of team.

Panarin and the Rangers need to win to erase all of that. It's win or failure that's the stage the Rangers set themselves up for.
